BirdingInSpain

BirdingInSpain is the product of Steve West's dedication to birds and birding in northeast Spain over the last two decades and more.

Steve West is the creator of the BirdingInSpain.com website [1], which is designed to aid the foreign birder when planning a trip to northeast Spain (Catalonia, Aragón and Navarra) and Mallorca. The visitor's route planning is made easy by the free birding itineraries and maps, photos and site descriptions. These are accompanied by recommendations on nearby accommodation, books, guiding etc.

Steve has also written two books about birds and birding in northeast Spain. The first, published in 2004, is titled "Where the birds are in northeast Spain", and deals with the most sought after species of the region and where to find them.

His second book was written both for the birder and the birder's mate, and is called "Flying over the Pyrenees, standing on the plains". Free chapters of both books are available on the BirdingInSpain.com website.

Steve was born in the UK, but has lived in Lleida, Catalonia, for more than 20 years.
