My name is Filip Kuliš. I was born and have spent most of my life in Karlovy Vary region, Czech Republic. For the last twenty years, I have been working as an train dispatcher for SŽDC (Czech Manager of rail infrastructure). Recent 6 years I studied and graduated at ČVUT (Czech Technical University in Prague), Ing. Main field of my qualification is Technology in Transportation and Telecommunications - Management and Economics of Transportation and Telecommunications.

One of the benefits of my job is, that I still have got a lot of time for travelling around the World, photography and study.

Another passion of mine are railways and industry - especially traffic control, traveling on scenic and unusual lines and history of railways network (incl. abandoned tracks). With the economic crisis and major changes in world economy (increase of labor costs, cheaper IT, centralization and offshoring of manufacturing, decline of mining and heavy industry in Europe, reduction of governmental budgets, etc.), there are and will be many upgrades but also closures these days. It is therefore a good idea to keep a record of the current operations for the posterity on freely licenced photographs, such as these.
