“I had lots of photographs of Kuriology sculptures which have SOLD. Since I use Wikimedia Commons as a resource in my creative projects I thought I’d share my photos of those sold sculptures in that the (used) images may be of further use to others in their own creative projects”. - Kuriologist

Kuriologist - ‘Art of Kuriology’

Museum & gallery exhibited ‘Outsider – Raw/Brut Art - Artist’ All ‘Art of Kuriology’ sculptures are individually hand created in Cornwall, UK by - ‘The Kuriologist’.

They are not created from plastic injection molds nor mass produced cast resin products from far eastern factories but made here in the UK. (*OOAK = One of a kind) (*NFM = Not Factory Made). Made primarily using re-purposed &/or recycled materials, along with papier-mache & decoupage techniques. Usually with a shellac coat finish, a traditional French polish application which gives many of the various sculptures an authentic antique or vintage aged look & appeal.

Kuriology sculptures are contemporary unique & unusual mixed media & assemblage sculpture inspired by traditional museum Kunst Wunderkammer ‘Cabinets of Curiosities’. Sometimes bizarre & weird artworks, steampunk & Goth, inspired by mythology, folklore, witchcraft, classical Greek & Roman sculpture, natural history & other such antique & vintage artifacts, specimens, & object d’art.
