Lcarsbot is a wiki bot that uses a variety of frameworks (including pywikipediabot) to make edits to the Wikimedia Commons. While it isn't usually supervised by a human it does not have a bot flag because it has been set so that it makes at most one edit every ten minutes per a script - this will ensure it does not flood recent changes - and the tasks it does carry out are usually of interest to other editors. It is operated by User:Lcarsdata.

This user account is a bot operated by Lcarsdata (talk). It is not a sock puppet, but rather an automated or semi-automated account for making repetitive edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually.
