Pia Parolin is a passionate biologist and autodidactic amateur photographer. She was born and raised in Italy, studied biology in Germany and lived many years in the Amazon for her PHD studies before moving the French Riviera. She is not only a passionate tropical ecologist, but also a passionate photographer and carries her camera always with her, since the day her father gave her the first Minolta as a teenager. Only recently she discovered street photography, after focusing more on nature and macro photography in the years before. Living for more than 12 years on the French Riviera, she was more and more interested in the life or moments of different people, tourists that come to this area every day, or who just cross the Promenade de Nice every instant. She published several books, among it “Promenade(s)” by Maison d'Edition Baie des Anges, Nice. She organizes photography workshops on the French Riviera and enjoys the intellectual exchange between artists and people of all kinds. You can find more about her work on the website www.piaparolin.com.
