Tim Cowley is an American photographer, videographer and media specialist who lived in Malawi and Mozambique for over a decade. He is the creator of The I Am Yawo Project, a media-rich site he created to introduce the world of the Yawo people of east Africa to the world at large. Much of his photography shared on Wikimedia covers a sample of his work from a geographical, cultural and historical perspective.
