My name is Zvi Lerman and I am professor of agricultural economics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. My research focuses on agriculture in transition countries, mainly the former Soviet Union. My recent work on Central Asia -- Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan -- has led me to start editing the "Economy of ..." and "Agriculture of ..." articles for these countires. I gradually upload into Wiki Commons photographs taken over the years in many countries in CIS and CEE.
