@Lotje: , dit is geen fout. Alhoewel de galerieën de titel "munten" dragen zijn zij over algemene numismatische onderwerpen, waarom je daar al snel dingen zoals pachinko en andere kasten tegenkomt is omdat https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Vending_machines_in_Japan onder https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Category:Coin-operated_devices_in_Japan valt. Deze gallerieën zijn voor het WikiProject Numismatiek en gaan niet alleen over munten maar ook munt-gerelateerde onderwerpen. Bijvoorbeeld een gebruiker heeft hier Mahjong tegels weggehaald, maar Mahjong is een Chinees spel dat onder "munt-gebaseerde kaartendeks" valt. Het probleem is dus niet bij de bot, de gallerieën gaan over het breed onderwerp "munten" en niet de objecten met de naam "munten".

Persoonlijk is de hoofdreden waarom ik deze gallerieën in de gaten houd omdat ik de lijsten van kèpèng-munten op Wikipedia wil bijhouden, maar ik heb ze met opzet op de hoofdpagina van het WikiProject Numismatiek neergezet zodat anderen er ook gebruik van kunnen maken om bijvoorbeeld auteursrechtschennisen op te sporen en te gebruiken om Wikipedia's bij te vullen met recent geüploade afbeeldingen van munt-gerelateerde onderwerpen. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 06:49, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

Maybe I'm better off explaining the above in English, as the bot currently incorporates images which have a relation to Numismatics as a subject as opposed to merely coins as objects. These aren't galleries to showcase the best uploads, they're galleries to check uploads in which case a wider definition allows for more images to be checked. Somehow I expected many years ago that I'd convince more of my friends interested in numismatics and just general strangers in forums interested in this subject to join the Wikimedia Commons and that more people would use these galleries (remember that they're linked from the main page of the WikiProject Numismatics), but I am hopeful that this could still happen in the future... As for the galleries themselves, I mostly check on them for Far Eastern uploads (cash coins specifically) and have augmented quite a lot of Wikipedia articles with also, also I generally tend to check categories and ask users to check copyright statuses when I see possible copyright violations in these galleries. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 06:55, 3 April 2022 (UTC)

• Development
  • Lexicographical data: Continued work on the new Special:NewLexeme page and focused on displaying sensible error messages if an error occurs during Lexeme creation. We're also working on adding a dropdown for the language variant.
  • REST API: Continued work on conditional requests and authorization
  • Made use of the new fields added in the wbsearchentities API and added language information to the markup of entity searches that you see when editing a statement or searching with the little searchbox at the top of the page on Wikidata. Now these search results should make a bit more sense to people who use screen readers.

Problems

• For a few days last week, edits that were suggested to newcomers were not tagged in the Special:RecentChanges feed. This bug has been fixed. [3]

Changes later this week

• The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from 5 April. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis and some Wikipedias from 6 April. It will be on all wikis from 7 April (calendar).
• Some wikis will be in read-only for a few minutes because of a switch of their main database. It will be performed on 7 April at 7:00 UTC (targeted wikis).

Future changes

• Starting next week, Tech News' title will be translatable. When the newsletter is distributed, its title may not be Tech News: 2022-14 anymore. It may affect some filters that have been set up by some communities. [4]
• Over the next few months, the "Add a link" Growth feature will become available to more Wikipedias. Each week, a few wikis will get the feature. You can test this tool at a few wikis where "Link recommendation" is already available.
