Category:Basketball players from Valencian CommunityEdit

Hola E4024. Celebro que por fin se vayan cambiando las categorías de "Land of Valencia" a "Valencian Community". Sin embargo, a la categoría "basketball players from..." le falta el artículo. Debería ser "Basketball players from the Valencian Community". Te lo digo por si vas a hacer muchos cambios, no es por ser tiquismiquis. Lo mismo con "(...) from the Community of Madrid", "(...) from the Region of Murcia", "(...) from the Balearic Islands" y "(...) from the Canary Islands".

Dije castellano? Perdón, inglés... --E4024 (talk) 18:21, 11 December 2018 (UTC)

COM:AEdit

Hey E4024,

Have you considered being an admin? You seem to have the knowledge to be one. -- 1989 (talk) 06:09, 19 January 2019 (UTC)

Many thanks for the compliment. Sorry, I'm preparing to run for President against Trump. :) Take care. --E4024 (talk) 22:39, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

Thank you very much, and all the same to you. I was trying to prepare you a surprise (I notice that we do not even have a good şekerpare pic :) but too much work in real life did not give me a free time; but in any moment I can do that. :) Friendly hug. --E4024 (talk) 18:29, 19 March 2019 (UTC)

File:A lone zebra in the Masai Mara by Muntaka Chasant.jpgEdit

Hi E4024, I'm the uploader of the file above. I requested it deletion on 3 March, 2019, to which you left a comment. Again, I would like it deleted. I see that another page is using it, but this is in a language I can not understand, hence can't replace the photo. How do I go about this? Many thanks in advance. --synth85

Hi there. Say good-bye to the beautiful zebra, we are keeping it for ourselves. (We adopt the sweet animal. :) Thanks for uploading the wonderful image. --E4024 (talk) 00:02, 20 March 2019 (UTC)
Seems like not much I can do. It stays then :-). I'll go ahead and remove the deletion request tag. Cheers. --synth85
Good for all. --E4024 (talk) 19:41, 20 March 2019 (UTC)

User НазариНазарEdit

Hi.. I'm sorry that you had to be on the other end of their tirades. I have blocked him for a month. Please let me know if this carries on. Keep up the good work - your work on Commons is invaluable Gbawden (talk) 06:04, 27 March 2019 (UTC)

Again OoSEdit

Hi, ang again please create new DR nominations with a full "out of project scope" and "unused personal file" instead of "OoS" and "UPF".
And "FBMD at MD" - I didn’t understand what this means.
With best regards, --George Chernilevsky talk 19:59, 13 June 2020 (UTC)

Hi to you. Does "again" refer to your visit on 2nd December 2017, Admin? I did not forget that. Firstly, "FBMD at MD" means FaceBook MetaData at MetaData. Indeed I was hoping that everybody had learned by now what this and OoS means. We do have a page/link called OOS; I am only using the second O in small as per abbreviation conventions, you never write United States Of America". BTW (By the way) when I came here I had to learn BTW, PD, IMO, IMHO (or did I invent the last one? :) etc just like anyone else; for sure there was always someone who used some abbreviation for the first time, why would I be impeded from being one of those "pioneers"?.. OTOH (or OtOH) I do not always use those short forms. Hours before you wrote to me, I used the words "Out of scope" in two DRs (Deletion requests :). Here: 1 and 2. Therefore, I do not have a special preference for "OoS", only from time to time it comes handy to my tired fingers, that's all. Take care and do not take life so seriously please. Suddenly one or the other may find himself/herself at a COVID bed. Friendly hug. E4024 (talk) 23:05, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
Hi  .
BTW, IMO, IMHO are widely used in web forums outside Commons, however PD, OoS and UPF may not be clear to a beginner. Therefore, i ask you not to use such abbreviations. For your tired fingers it will be very useful copy and paste tools. By the way, IMHO is of Russian origin. This means the same as IMO, but with an extra obscene insertion for emotional complement.
Very friendly -- George Chernilevsky talk 14:24, 14 June 2020 (UTC)

Stones and wellsEdit

I like this saying very much. Is it Turkish? When I googled it, I got results for Turkish, Italian, and Canadian (attributed to Saul Bellows, but it seems like it's almost certainly older than that). What is the phrasing in Turkish? It seems appropriate to all sorts of situations on Wikipedia/Commons. :) — Rhododendrites talk |  19:06, 10 October 2020 (UTC)

I do it a lot! :) --E4024 (talk) 19:09, 10 October 2020 (UTC)
@E4024: @Rhododendrites: reading this, I think: Gnomologia- adages and proverbs, wise sentences, and witty sayings might be interesting to read. :-) Lotje (talk) 14:41, 11 October 2020 (UTC)
The last paragraph of Page iv refers to us, the Turks; indeed we have a saying for almost each and every human situation. --E4024 (talk) 02:05, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

Sütlü kadayıfEdit

I have a supplementary question. I'm using your image File:Kadayıf with milk.jpg. What's the topping on the kadayıf in this image? And is it accompanied by tea, or what? I like to give full captions if I can! Andrew Dalby (talk) 18:49, 12 October 2020 (UTC)

Walnuts. --E4024 (talk) 18:51, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
Also read the previous thread please. Could go well with what happened around this/these dessert(s) in Wikidata. --E4024 (talk) 18:54, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes, you're quite correct. I think I've put things right at Wikidata now. Andrew Dalby (talk) 20:28, 12 October 2020 (UTC)
