Offshore_windpark_Thorntonbank.jpg and flat earth

edit

So your Offshore_windpark_Thorntonbank.jpg is getting lots of play in the flat earth community. In order to be clear about how this image was obtained I wonder if you have any details of your exact location and elevation when this image was taken. ~~ Ttguy (talk) 20:46, 7 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the comment, I'm glad the picture is of use. (and I must admit I was surprised of the effect myself when I made that picture.) The picture was taken in the town of Westende on the Belgian coast. That town is at a distance of roughly 50 km from the Thorntonbank Wind Farm. I was standing on the fifth floor, so about 12-14 m above the levee, which is about 3-4 metres above see level. I hope this helps. -- Lieven (talk) 06:15, 8 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Can you provide more details about this picture such as photo date(2018/7/24? for temperature checking), time(2pm? for tide checking), any wind turbine appeared out of your camera view, and your camera lens focus(or FOV)? Cause this photo shows some weird points for example: distances between some wind turbines are not the same, resolution is bad to tell the front and the back of turbines. I fail to locate which power field (C-Power? cause the layout of turbines does not match) picture you had taken. Flerfs strongly believe this is fake. I believe this is real. So would you please provide more details, thanks a lot. 2001:B400:E2F1:8946:8D82:961C:E9C4:5119 23:31, 10 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hello, thanks for your reply. Again, I can repeat that the image is real. The version you see is cropped though, so you may watch at the original not edited image. Additionally, I could add more images from this and other similar angles. Also, I might be mistaken with the name of this windpark. In the meantime, I have learned there are other windparks there, so it might show parts of "Belwind", "Nobelwind", "C-Power"" or others in that area.
This is the image's EXIF date. -- Lieven (talk) 07:57, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

What book is this? https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Bookworm_traces.JPG#mw-jump-to-license 1.220.224.228 07:19, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

It's a story of TKKG, but I don't remember which one. I threw away the book after taking the picture. -- Lieven (talk) 07:32, 1 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
