OK, was tun? Ich hab's mal markiert. -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 19:39, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

OK, done. Danke! -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 00:16, 21 April 2013 (UTC)

source

Where can I find the hotlink to the source video file? (e.g. for File:Novel-mechanism-for-mesenchymal-stem-cells-in-attenuating-peritoneal-adhesion-accumulating-in-the-scrt142-S2.ogv ) --McZusatz (talk) 13:23, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

The most general way is to click on the PMC link and look for the "Go to:" link, then select "Supplementary Material" and look for the file. For this article, the direct link to the section is http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3580481/?tool=pmcentrez#__sec26title , the direct link to the file is http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3580481/bin/scrt142-S2.WMV . -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 19:40, 28 April 2013 (UTC)
Ok, danke. Hat geklappt. --McZusatz (talk) 20:16, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Gruß, --Pristurus (talk) 21:35, 5 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks - I left a comment there. -- Daniel Mietchen - WiR/OS (talk) 19:59, 6 May 2013 (UTC)

Category:Language templates with no text displayed

Hallo Daniel. Einige der Uploads deines Bots landen in obiger Wartungskategorie. Die letzte betroffene Datei ist File:Unexpected-Regularity-in-Swimming-Behavior-of-Clausocalanus-furcatus-Revealed-by-a-Telecentric-3D-pone.0067640.s003.ogv. Bitte versuche doch, dies künftig zu verhindern. Danke. --Leyo 07:41, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

-- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 17:27, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
Danke! --Leyo 21:21, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

change extension to ogg

Is it possible to change the extension to the more generic ogg extension when uploading audio/video. Otherwise audio files such as File:Color-and-texture-associations-in-voice-induced-synesthesia-Audio1.ogv get uploaded as .ogv which suggest they contain video. --McZusatz (talk) 18:38, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Thanks - I filed a bug for it. -- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 20:13, 20 September 2013 (UTC)
Should be fixed now. -- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 20:39, 20 September 2013 (UTC)

Naming of child categories of Category:Uploaded_with_Open_Access_Media_Importer_and_needing_category_review

Hi,

Perhaps I don't understand how this bot works, but I'm a little worried about the names that have been automatically chosen for sub categories of Category:Uploaded_with_Open_Access_Media_Importer_and_needing_category_review. For instance, Category:Astronomical_sciences currently has 4 media files, all placed there by the OAM bot. The name would suggest to other users that they could place astronomy-related images in this category too, or place, say Category:Solar_System as a subcategory of this one.

If it is the intention to do this, and start creating a useful category tree for others to fill in, then is there a way to identify which files have been imported by the bot and not yet reviewed by a human? Given the current structure, I'm worried that (say) the 4 astronomy files may have Category:Uploaded_with_Open_Access_Media_Importer_and_needing_category_review deleted from them, because it is parent of Category:Astronomical_sciences and hence should be removed according to Commons:OVERCAT. Perhaps there is a way to mark Category:Uploaded_with_Open_Access_Media_Importer_and_needing_category_review as a non-diffusing category? Or has that been done already?

If it is the intention for these subcategories to only be used on files imported by the OAM bot, wouldn't it be sensible to prefix all the automated categories with, say "OAMbot"?

HYanWong (talk) 14:51, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

These "child categories" have been placed there by another bot, without action (or consent) from our part. I certainly do not see these as child categories, nor as reserved to files uploaded by the OAMI. I am cleaning this up whenever time permits, but can only do so manually. -- Daniel Mietchen (talk) 10:50, 28 January 2014 (UTC)
