Milkproducts2.svg

edit

Hi, your name is under the milkproducts2.svg image, so I'm leaving this here:

The image has a serious translation error; the links to soft/semi-soft/semi-hard/hard come from 'sweet whey' in the translated version, but they go through 'pasteurized milch'/'sauermilch/dickmilch'/'allerte' in the original german version (which is the correct path) 82.156.30.17 21:41, 24 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Using one of your pictures in a textbook

edit

I am thinking of including your picture of the cloisonné bowl at Edinburgh (http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fichier:Cloisonneming.jpg) in a textbook. It would show at about 6 cm high and be credited in the legend immediately below. Since this is printed text (and I can't hyperlink to the Wikipedia page), I was wondering if you would like the credits to also/alternatively show a real name, location, URL, whatever. Just in case, I can be contacted at thechabon a a t hotm ail do ot com. Thanks very much for uploading that picture. Iiiiaaaa (talk) 18:11, 5 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Some contents have been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether they should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at their entry.

If you created these pages, please note that the fact that they have been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with them, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Permission to use an Image

edit

Hi Pschemp

I have seen the image of crochet hooks that you have uploaded to Wikipedia which I would like to include in a textile text book which I have written and am requesting your permission to use it. As much as the commons licence implies the image can be used my publisher wants written permission from the owner of an image.

I look forward to hearing from you

File:Angoragoat2.jpg

edit

Regarding "Angora goat at the Texas State Fair" taken by Pschemp. This goat does not appear to be of the typical Angora type found in the United States, particularly Texas, which is known for its Angora goats with pure white lustrous locks of ringletted mohair. From the long straight hair coat, to the atypical (for a purebred Angora) horns, I suspect this goat to be a cashmere goat of Spanish extraction. If this goat is in any way Angora I would say the heritage Navajo Angora breed, but definitely not of the more typical White or Colored Angora goats found in the U.S. as recognized by the American Angora Goat Breeders Assoc. and the Colored Angora Goat Breeders Assoc.
