Hello !

Hello Slaunger !

Even if I'm sorry you dislike "my" greek belll tower, I'm happy to see you back in FPC !--Jebulon (talk) 00:15, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
Thank you Jebulon. I am not overly surprised that my review triggered a response, but I am very happy it was a response of this kind! I don't think I am "back" though (yet), but I see light at the end of tunnel wrt other competing time-consumers..  --Slaunger (talk) 13:03, 8 May 2011 (UTC)

crocs

Slaunger, Check my croc collection of the trip. [[1]] --Tomascastelazo (talk) 19:10, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for directing me to that portfolio. It is an impressive collection of good shots you got on that trip. I especially fancy the ones, where two cros are fighting, the one where one croc is resting its head on another croc in the sunlight, and several where it appears you have gotten very close and the texture of the skin and other details are very clear. I also like the reflections in the water. --Slaunger (talk) 20:01, 13 May 2011 (UTC)

Croc

Hey Kim, I noticed you like counting teeth ;-). Hans 01:58, 10 May 2011 (UTC)

Hey Hans, Long time, no see! Nice to see you back at my talk page. Funny that you also have taken this particular photo just a few days ago. I also enjoyed following the teeth in high resolution on that one. So what are you up to in Florida? Just passing by? --Slaunger (talk) 20:03, 11 May 2011 (UTC)
Well, passing by has a connotation here...: first a five-day meeting followed by a week of holidays. Cheers. Hans 20:50, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
And I've started uploading a few pics. Hans 13:45, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
Nice work, Hans! --Slaunger (talk) 13:50, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Wrench

Hi Slaunger, Thanks for your review on the wrench. What you said was precisely my intention. I chose the light direction to enphazise texture, and it a a dark on dark object, so the is bound to be noise. In photography there is a movement or style to capture the art of everyday objects, and that is what I tried to do, using texture, shape and contour as graphic elements. On top of that, this tool, as old as it may be, is in itself the product of a long chain of industrial achievement and evolution, and it is closer in the tool history to today´s great technological achievements than many other tools manufactured even after. Look into it from a historical/sociological/technological perspective. But anyway, I was cleaning by stuff and started to experiment with object, light modifiers, etc., and this baby came out. I love tools. --Tomascastelazo (talk) 21:36, 13 May 2011 (UTC)
