Louis XVII

Thank you Slaunger for your message.
Be bored of this kind of pictures, I'll continue to take some.
But the most far of FPC page as possible.
Best wishes from Paris.--Jebulon (talk) 22:44, 1 June 2011 (UTC)

hi. I'm now in Florence, Italy, for a short trip.
Many boring museum, boring historic and boring artistic (Michelangelo, Giotto, Brunelleschi, Fra Angelico) pictures coming soon !
Enjoy ! --Jebulon (talk) 20:57, 2 June 2011 (UTC)
And what happened in the corner right below of your guadeloupean picture ?
As it is a really boring picture, were you asleep before the end of uploading ?--Jebulon (talk) 15:29, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
I upload boring pictures, you upload boring pictures. At least, mine are technically good. Jebulon: 2, Slaunger: 1. Lol.
As I understand, the stairs were built by slaves, 1 stair by "habitation" (farm, or something like that) owning slaves in the town. Some says that they are 54 stairs, 52 for 52 "habitations", and two for the city and the parish. The date is unknown. But it seems to be a legend, nothing is sure. Only boring is sure... But the History of poor Louis XVII is NOT boring, only very sad...
By the way, if you don't know this city, please never visit Florence! Works of art, wonderful museums, very nice churches, old history and world-known famous artists everywhere ! Nothing to do with physics or mathematics, except maybe architecture... Boring, boring, boring...--Jebulon (talk) 21:35, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
OK for Fermi (he's not a "Commons" user, isn't he ?). But he find Florence soooo boring that he immigrates to the US... Well. Jebulon: 2, Slaunger: 1, Fermi and Leonardo:1 both. I win. Sorry for your wife's opinion : Florence's cuisine (for touristic use...) and wine (too heavy for my taste) are not as good as the french... When do you come to Paris ? I'll show you (and Mrs Slaunger) what is really gooooood cuisine ! I'm back in Paris now. Hard work : I've not finished with my Rhodes (Greece) photos, I just began with the Versailles', and did not yet open my camera for Florence... Boring...--Jebulon (talk) 16:35, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
And how the Internet site of a... sparkling water (!?!?!) could decide who and where is the world's best restaurant !!! It seems very suspect to me ... And who spoke about restaurants, by the way ? I spoke about MY cuisine, obviously !!--Jebulon (talk) 17:57, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
Hi Slaunger. As I've read your answer, I find it very serious, grave and solemn for part. Please consider that I'm kidding, it is just for me a free conversation with a danish "Commons" friend. I don't think I'm ahead of anybody in any matter, I'm just playing with words and arguments with you, and it is very pleasant to me. And I remember that your first message of this serie was very kind for me when I was a bit angry. OK, then draw between southern-latin & northern-viking. By the way, I don't care about DSK's case (he pleads today "not guilty"), except that it is very funny because of what happens now in french politics (french politicians look like bees flying in smoke !)--Jebulon (talk) 15:56, 6 June 2011 (UTC)

QI Review

Hi Slaunger,

thank you for your detailed review e.g. here. Sadly there are not so much user that make this effort and gives good reason and arguments - independent if they are promoting or declining a picture. By the way: I have blurred the number plate of the car. Have a nice evening. --Wladyslaw (talk) 21:13, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Wladyslaw, Thanks for your unexpected and kind message. I am glad you appreciate my rather detailed reviews. It is a hard balance concerning the detail level of reviews. I think that if everyone spend as much time as I do on a review, the QIC page would be cluttered with unassessed nominations, as my "productivity" is much lower than some other reviewers. Have a nice evening too! --Slaunger (talk) 21:20, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Florence Duomo

Hi Slaunger. As with our previous conversation, I feel that my english is not good enough and I'm sorry for that. In your QI review you wrote : "I feel I'm missing something", and (hard to explain !) I made a bad translation/transposition. I understood: "je manque quelque chose" ("I don't understand something") and you said :"il me manque quelque chose". Not the same !! Then my answer: "No you don't" looks maybe like a nonsense for you, my mistake, sorry. The verb "to miss" is a problem for french translation (I miss you means Tu me manques and not Je te manque. but I is the subject, like Je in french... Do you understand ?) I hate those "Babel" problems !!--Jebulon (talk) 07:58, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

I don't understand fully, but I did understand your reply in the QI review, I think. What I wanted to say with "I feel, I'm missing something" referred to that I felt I did not quite understand the underlying idea with the photo. Maybe it was taken through the holes because there is a fence, which is so high that one cannot get a free sight over it? Maybe the photo was taken in that way because you wanted to illustrate, then when being there you would historically be protected by the stone and use the holes for crossbow/bow defense? Or maybe it was just an interesting composition? Being historically ignorant I was in doubt, and I wanted to check out if there was a (for you obvious) point, which I had not understood (missed). As I understand your reply, the photograph is only taken in that manner because it made an interesting and unusual composition (and to do something different perhaps, which I think is great). And I agree it is interesting. I am still thinking about whether it is also a QI.
Did you see I fixed the crop in the QIC of mine you addressed? --Slaunger (talk) 08:52, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

Hej Slaunger.
Could you please have a look on my answer in QIC page ?
I have no problem with your oppose vote, but there is a technical point I wish you know, I need your opinion about.
Thank you very much in advance.
Have a nice day.--Jebulon (talk) 08:54, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Sure, no problem. It is not an easy review, and I have replied in the nomination. --Slaunger (talk) 21:37, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Hi Slaunger!
There is something for you in FPC page...
Friendly,--Jebulon (talk) 17:48, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
