Hello and welcome to commons. When transfering pictures from other projects like wikipedia please always include the complete description, author, user that uploaded it and date, license and use the highest resolution possible. After that please add the {{NowCommons}} template to the picture page of wikipedia where you got it from. Thank you. -- Gorgo 17:46, 19 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

File:Pong.png edit

File:Pong.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Permission to use figure in a book. edit

Dear Teveten,

I am working with Prof. Steven LaValle to help obtain permissions for borrowing figures or pictures in his upcoming book Virtual Reality, to be published by Cambridge University Press. The book is online here:

http://vr.cs.uiuc.edu/

We are hoping to include the picture of yours (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f8/Pong.png) in this book (Chapter 1 , Figure 1.27a ). Could we please have your permission for this? Thank you.

Please contact me at awarkoczewski@yahoo.com

Sincerely,
