Thank you, Walter, for nominating my image. I'll support the nomination, but I doubt somebode else will. I'm really glad you liked my picture. It's all what matters--Mbz1 17:34, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Mbz1

  • Well I do have an original image. Most of the time I do not keep my orinals, but because the picture was taken in Greenland, I kept it. I uploaded it here: image. I like better the first one, but it is up to you what to nominate. In my opinion the value of the image is so much more important than the quality. The thing is that I'm as a reader is much more interested to see an interesting, unique picture than a very sharp picture of a very, very common flower or a clear picture of a common bird. I traveled the world and took many interesting (in my opinion) pictures. Most of them were taken with my old film camera and I uploaded digital copies of them. For example this image shows huge iceberg B15 and people staying on it. The weather was horrible and the picture is bad, yet it is quite unique, or, for example that image of a giant petrel. It is an interesting and rare image, but it is a digital copy of my old film picture and the quality is not good. Even my new pictures of a rare atmospheric optics phenomenas probably will not pass. For example thatimage shows 3 very rare phenomenas: a fogbow, glory and the Spectre of the Brocken. That image's quality is probably as good as it gets, but will it pass to be a feature picture? I do not think so. Sorry for the long message. Best regards--Mbz1 18:16, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Mbz1

Hello, Walter, Here are few more images from Arctic: Thank you. Mila.

Hi Mila; Those are splendid. I see you even included a sun-near-the-horizon image! Thank you and best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 04:58, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Thank you, Walter, I just uploaded few more pictures, some of them of glaciers. They are nothing special, but looks like you are interested in glaciers, so I maybe they could be some interest to you. Best Regards.--Mbz1 14:23, 10 July 2007 (UTC)MBz1.

This one is exceptional in that it illustrates seasonal stream channels on the glacier surface. What a variety of images! Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 15:00, 10 July 2007 (UTC)
