Comment I think the sharpness isn't perfect but if one reduces the 9MP to 5MP it is fine so given that Commons FP only requires 2MP then I can accept this and encourage uploading of the larger size. However, it needs a little straightening. A tool like Hugin should be able to do this nicely but will affect the crop. Ideally one would do this on a TIFF of the full image. Comment Although this has a slightly larger crop, it also appears to be reduced in size. This might make it appear sharper but we prefer the full size version (and the end-user can resize to whatever they want). Do you have a RAW version of this photo? If so then email me and we can exchange it and I'll straighten it for you. Comment Monfie supplied the original photograph (here) from which I've had a go at minimising the distortions. However, I've uploaded over the top of this Alternative rather than create another file. Sorry if that complicates things. I'll let Telemaque MySon know. The latest version is straighter IMO but not 100% regular all over. The tiles are clearly not all laid in a straight line. Plus there's probably some distortion due to the lens that I'm unable to correct for. The JPG didn't have EXIF with camera details. I suspect this still isn't the original from the camera (perhaps that's been lost). A significant difference between this alternative and the original is that the proportions of the tiles are close to square, whereas the original was fatter. -- Colin (talk) 20:37, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
