Question May I ask...it seems to be made at high noon, not at 6+ am as presented in metafile rigth ? I am surprised there are so few photos of such an photogenic object. --Mile (talk) 21:33, 22 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
At places that are destination of world tourism, metadata is always doubtful, because the camera timezone may be set to the photographer's home longitude. But at this latitude, so close to the tropic, in high summer, I'd expect the shadows to be shorter at high noon!? --Ikar.us (talk) 22:59, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The view is north, the shadows come from right. It looks like early morning in India. But we didn't care about incorrect EXIF data yet. --Ikar.us (talk) 22:19, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Support After checking over the related categories, OK to me, all criteria met. Very nice geocoded image of the mausoleum taken from the classical point of view; there are some interesting alternatives with another point of view (e.g. File:Taj Mahal-09.jpg) or showing more of the entire complex (e.g.File:Taj Mahal-08.jpg, File:Taj Mahal, Agra, India-23Feb2007b.jpg), but I think we can choose a picture with the emblematic view of the main building for the scope. I will give a hand to complete the description. --Myrabella (talk) 09:34, 29 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Look at the heading of the shadows, and the position of lighted half of the domes. If the challenger is in the early morning, as it states, this one must be earlier. The coulours on the other one may be caused by clouds, but mainly by chemical manipulation, as it also states. --Ikar.us (talk) 16:58, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I want to say this shot is made in "bad" time of the day, i would say around noon. On left side You can see cumulus, they are not forming in morning hours, anyway colors arent so nice, for such romantic object there could be warmer temperature colors. --Mile (talk) 18:28, 30 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Mile, I really don't understand what you are up to. What does it matter the time of the day if the picture is of good quality? Now it is probably going to be a featured picture, so quality does not seem to be an issue. And finally this is quite irrelavant for VI anyway. We are concerned here about matching the scope, and quality is only one among many parameters. Regards, Yann (talk) 08:07, 31 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
