- @NikoK98: Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload pdf and jpg images as a new user while leaving the summary intact. The following applies to each image. You said it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads such an image, it's a copyright violation taken from the web. Please upload the full-size original of it, including EXIF metadata, but if you were not the original image designer or photographer, that person may need to send permission via OTRS with a carbon copy to you. Also, it may look fuzzy when scaled down, so you may want to upload a jpg version, too. If you change the summary or use our Upload Wizard instead, you should be able to avoid that filter. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 20:20, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

- Joaoquintino: The filter you encountered prevents low-resolution and PNG format uploads from newly registered users using the particular upload form that you used. The reason for this filter is that such uploads overwhelmingly turn out to be copyright violations.
- Did you actually personally create this logotype, as you claimed when attempting to upload it, and are you personally the copyright holder? If not, the filter worked as intended. Hi Jeff. Sorry, I'm new to the whole Wiki universe so please excuse my errors/mistakes. I was able to go through Wiki Commons and upload the logo. I uploaded a png again but I do have the original files if needed (I don't entirely understand this process and the EXIF metadata). My intentions on Wiki are to make sure that my company's listed info and logo are correct (i.e.- Company financials, employee count, date founded, stock listing, logo, etc). I am not being directly paid to update the page. I was just looking at the Zynex page and noticed all the information was wrong. Date founded is 1996 but was noted as 2001. Financials were all from 2012. The website was listed as Zynexmed.com which is not an active domain. I went ahead and noted my user page as a paid contributor since I work for Zynex Medical. Hopefully, that is the correct process. Again, I'm not being paid or trying to advocate or promote anything for financial gain or stake. I just want to make sure the information is correct regarding our company details. Thanks again for your help on this. Dzwygart (talk) 14:56, 13 May 2019 (UTC)

I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload a smaller (<50KB or <5MP) jpg image as a new user while leaving the summary intact. The image you tried to upload is smaller, and you said it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads a smaller image, it is a copyright violation taken from the web. If you made the image yourself, please upload the full-size original of it, including EXIF metadata. If you did not make the image, please see Commons:Licensing for why we can't accept it, and have the image photographer / designer send the image and permission via OTRS. The user RyanForTrump who uploaded this is currently under sactions on Wikidata for vandalism and edit wars. This has nothing to do with Michael Moates. The photo should be deleted for not being notable. It is also libel as and Wikidata has removed the reference. See Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard#Sock-puppet IP's and Vandals.

- @LoganRAFBF: Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload a smaller (<50KB or <5MP) jpg logo as a new user while leaving the summary intact. The logo you tried to upload is smaller, and you said it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads a smaller logo, it's a copyright violation taken from the web. Please upload the full-size original of it, including EXIF metadata, but it may be judged too complex to be under TOO in the country of origin, so you may need to post COM:L compliant permission for such works on your website or social media presence or send permission via OTRS because we don't allow Fair Use here. Also, any raster image will look jaggy when scaled up, so you may want to upload an svg version, too. If you want to use the file on English Wikipedia, please read WP:F. - None of the filter log links you provided have any entries, and in any case, you cannot upload anything unless you are registered and logged in, which you are not.
- But searching through all the entries in the log, I'm guessing you may be Rdarji4 (talk • contribs • block log • filter log) who tried to upload File:Miteshbhai Rameshbhai Patel (Bakabhai).jpg (hist • logs • abuse log). If so, the filter that you encountered prevents low-resolution uploads from newly registered users using the particular upload form that you used. The reason for this filter is that such files overwhelmingly turn out to be copyright violations.
- If you did indeed personally create this photo, as you stated when you attempted to upload it ("This is my own work" and "I attest that I own the copyright on this file"), the expectation is that you should be able to provide a full-resolution version rather than the 844×858 pixel miniature version that you tried to upload. But since the photo you were trying to upload was grabbed from https://www.facebook.com/Miteshbhaibjp/photos/a.1509687099114086/2138767252872731/, it would seem that the filter worked as intended and that "the needful" is for you to stop attempting to infringe on other people's copyright by trying to upload their work as your own. —LX (talk, contribs) 18:14, 24 May 2019 (UTC)

Unable to Upload My Own Image
I'm currently updating the Wikipedia page of the company I work for. When trying to add images, I was met with several notification disputing the fact that the images I'm uploading are mine (which they are). I'm wondering if this is due to the fact that most of the images have been used in blog posts, press releases, etc and now exist on different websites as well as Google Images. I'm hoping that someone can point me in the right direction of getting this matter resolved quickly. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EY418 (talk • contribs) 17:31, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

- @NewYorkAmerican: Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload a pdf file as a new user while leaving the summary intact. You said it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads a pdf image, it's a copyright violation taken from the web. If you were not the original file designer or photographer, that person may need to send permission via OTRS with a carbon copy to you. If you change the summary or use our Upload Wizard instead, you should be able to avoid that filter. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 19:49, 28 May 2019 (UTC)

- @10zing: Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload a smaller (<50KB or <5MP) jpg photo as a new user while leaving the summary intact. The photo you tried to upload is smaller, and you wrote it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads a smaller photo, it is a copyright violation taken from the web. If you took the photo yourself, please upload the full-size original of it, including EXIF metadata. If you did not take the photo, please see Commons:Licensing for why we can't accept it, and have the photographer post Commons:Licensing compliant permission for such works on their website or social media presence or send the photo and permission via OTRS with a carbon copy to you. If you change the summary or use our Upload Wizard instead, you should be able to avoid that filter. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 12:09, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

- @Octavio Fernanandez: Hi, and welcome. I see you successfully uploaded after posting above. May we consider this resolved? Also, your png images will look fuzzy when scaled down and jaggy when scaled up, so you may want to upload svg or jpg versions, too. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 19:49, 29 May 2019 (UTC)

- @JonRDG: Hi, and welcome. I am sorry to inform you that you have triggered Special:AbuseFilter/153 by trying to cross-wiki upload a png logo as a new user while leaving the summary intact. Such uploads of png logos are not allowed at all. You said it's your own work. Usually when someone uploads a png logo, it's a copyright violation taken from the web. Please upload the full-size original of it, including EXIF metadata, but it may be judged too complex to be under TOO in the country of origin, so you may need to send permission via OTRS. Also, any png image will look fuzzy when scaled down or jaggy when scaled up, so you may want to upload an svg or jpg version, too. If you change the summary or use our Upload Wizard instead, you should be able to avoid that filter. — Jeff G. ツ please ping or talk to me 10:04, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
