Description
English: Telegram Table.

This table was originally used in Glasgow, and later in King Edward Building, the Post Office's former London headquarters.

a/ Wooden table legs, four legs with a cross bar down the length connecting them in the middle.
b/ Detached top to the table with a wooden surround. Raised middle length with brass strips down the sides and edge and holes and wooden brackets for pens.
c/ Brass, telegram form holder, incorporating three compartments, two on the right and one on the left, and a sign.
Inscription: left hand box 'inland telegram forms'; right hand boxes, no inscription but a manufacturer's plate with 'manufactured by Milners Safe Company Ltd'. On the sign, 'Write your telegrams here'.
