Genehmigt am 30. Juni 1947; dieses Wappen wurde ersetzt, nachdem am 1. Januar 1975 der bisherige Kreis Paderborn mit dem Kreis Büren zum neuen Kreis Paderborn verschmolzen wurde.
English: "Gules two fesses wavy Argent under a chief of the second a cross of the field."
This coat of arms was granted 1947-06-30.
It was replaced by a new coat of arms, granted 1975-07-15, after it was merged with the Büren (Westfalen) district 1975-01-01.
