It's quite a lot different from the latest one now (.45 I think). How often will the interface change? It's a lot of effort to update the images every time. --Seans Potato Business 00:08, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Just looking at Version 0.47 and version 0.48. I am almost of the opinion we should scrub the whole article-- but then there is very little out there to describe how to use Inkscape-- and no, I have neither the skill or the time! --ClemRutter (talk) 20:27, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Has the finished "No wine" symbol been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons as an SVG? That might be helpful... AnonMoos 09:27, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Alas, I created the symbol while updating screenshots to the newest version (1.0.1), but I didn't save my work! If I ever wanted to update screenshots again in the future, I hope I will remember to upload the end result to Commons too. 4nn1l2 (talk) 20:52, 3 March 2021 (UTC)

Page title

Either title would be more appropriate than the current one. Regardless of which you choose, it's where the page is linked from that makes the difference as to whether people will find it. Rendering TEXT

Why do my text labels appear perfectly alright in inkscape, but get rendered as ugly black blocks in wikipedia? See nl:Bestand:ATR.svg Yes I did save it as 'plain svg'

P.S. As long as inkscape reamins as obtuse as it is, can wikipedia really blame us for not bothering to do vector graphics? I think all those adhortations to do vector graphics need to go.

A request for documentation

My principle challenge with Inkscape is how to import an image file -- one in, say, JPEG or GIF format -- & convert it into SVG format so I can modify it. Maybe this isn't possible, but I would appreciate a tutorial that explains how it can be done, & under which circumstances. I doubt I'm the only one who has been blocked from creating SVG files by this problem. Any experts willing to accept this challenge & write a tutorial? -- llywrch (talk) 19:25, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

Adding Inkscape icons to sub-headings

Would it be a good edit to:
a.) ADD the matched Inkscape Toolbox icons to a given tool's sub-heading? and place the related Short cut key just below the heading, example:
Select tool
Shortcuts: S, F1, Spacebar

b.) or ADD the related toolbox icon and shortcuts just below the sub-heading, example;
Select tool
, Shortcuts: S, F1, Spacebar
