Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Commons kepek

Szia! Bocs, hogy a wikin szoltam megegyszer. Nem tudtam, hogy Commonsba is be vagy jelentkezve es feleltel. Hat a kepekkel az a helyzet, hogy a wikibol letoltottem a gepemre es onnan a commonsba. Az eredetiek nincsenek mar meg. Most ezek a kepek karba mennek vagy lehet valamit csinalni veluk? A commonsba nincsenek magyar betuk? Ha magyar nyelvre teszem, csak ezeket adja: Ő, ő, Ű, ű. Mindig a kép dokumentációjának legalján, a kategóriák felsorolása fölött. [1] Ha nincs metaadat, akkor az azt jelenti, hogy a képet elkészülte óta átszabták, megváltoztatták. Általában ez történik a honlapokon megjelent cikkillusztráló képekkel. A wikipédia szerzői általában a legnagyobb felbontásban közlik a képeiket, ezért megmarad alattuk a metaadat.

Ezt a képet például én átszabtam feltöltés előtt, ezért nincs alatta metaadat. --Beroesz (talk) 16:02, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Nem feltétlenül kell kiirtani mindent. Ami nem pótolható és értéket képvisel, az szerintem a magyar wikin megtűrhető, még ha nem is a kirakatba tesszük. Például a régi kép a Tisza-hídról, vagy a turulról. Azt is vedd figyelembe, hogy egy kárpátaljai vidéki kisvárosban középiskolásként talán nem oly' könnyű fényképezőgépet szerezni! --Beroesz (talk) 18:13, 11 May 2010 (UTC)

Na ok, de akkor viszont remélem közreműködő lesz a kollega. Én szeretném áttölteni a képeit és bízom benne, hogy is így lesz. De mivel úgy olvasom a vitalapján, hogy saját fényképeit szkennelte be, ezért talán tényleg ő maga fényképezte, ezt kell tisztázni. Viszont a magyaron nem látok metaadatot. A szoborlap oldal korábban CC-BY-SA-2.5 alatt volt közölve. Ma már nem ezt írják magukról, de a keserű valóság az, hogy a világhálóról nem lehet dolgokat eltüntetni. Az Archive.org a legbotorabb jogi lépést is megőrzi. Az oldalmentés 2008 áprilisi 9-i. A kép ugyanazon év április 5-én került fel a szoborlapra, magyarán a LICENC ÉRVÉNYESSÉGÉRE bizonyítékunk van.

Értem, ezt nem tudtam, hogy ilyen is létezik. Teemeah viszont megkért, hogy ne töltögessek át képeket, majd egyszer valaki megcsinálja központilag, bár tudom, hogy SOHA nem fogja ezt megcsinálni. A humorista kifejezetten vicc és poéngyártással foglalkozó ember, mint például Éles István vagy Boncz Géza. A comedian az egy valamivel szélesebb kategória és olyan embert jelent, aki a szűk értelemben vett humorgyártáson túlmenő teljesítményt is felmutat, mondjuk filmszínész, színész, stb. Ilyen például Kern András, Hofi és Alfonso. Én a fordított kategorizálást tartanám ésszerűnek, de ezen lehet vitatkozni. --Beroesz (talk) 11:05, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

Szia! Találtam 3 képet (közülök egyet mutatok: file:Hungary border 1940 Northeast.jpg amelyik jogvédett a licenc alapján. Az ilyet töröltetni kell, ugye?

Ez a térkép valóban egy olyan állapotot rögzít, amely 1940 augusztusától 1941 júniusáig állott fenn. (Második bécsi döntés és a Szovjetunió megtámadása közötti időszak. Ha elfogadjuk a feltöltő által megadott adatot, miszerint ez a kép 1940-es térképből készült, akkor az még pontosan 42 naptári napig jogsértő. (Ismeretlen szerző esetén a megjelenés + 70 év, ami 2010. december 31-én jár le.) Lehet törlésre jelölni, de a tapasztalatom az, hogy ilyen "peremhelyzetekben", amikor a mű a megközkincsülés határán tántorog, az adminisztrátorok addig húzzák az időt, hogy a mű törlése okafogyottá válik. De ha már észrevetted, akkor el kellene forgatnod a képet, mert így nyugat van fönt észak helyett.

Ha jogsértő képekre vadászol, akkor inkább a háború utáni képeket kell nézegetned. Azok zöme (ha nem saját vagy családtag alkotása) nem szabad kép.

Törölni akkor tudsz, ha indokot adsz meg. Ezt angolul kell megadni. Sokszor elég csak kulcsszavakat odavetni, ha olyan a kép, akkor azt pillanatok alatt megértik. (Pl: Copyvio, ©Népszabadság [www.nol.hu/impresszum])

Szóval eképpen gondolkodj szerint. A másik, hogy nem értem, hogy a srác miért nem írja a szövegmagyarázathoz a szerb megfelelőjét. Kicsit idióta a srác az tény! That is interesting. I didn't know things were like that. Perhaps you could make a map showing biggest minority groups in each place... and then perhaps you could make a map showing something like this? [4] It should be possible to make a percentage map. However, I do not recommend to make as many categories as that one has. It's too many categories. You think you might be able to make one like that for Serbs? garéi hulladéklerakó

Szia! Dehogynem ismerem. ha a google térképen megnézed, akkor szalánta északi részén van a görcsönyi út (ennek tövében lakom), itt el kell menni majdnem a bostai útig, de előtte van dél felé egy leágazás, az vissz a lerakóhoz. Azon az úton szoktam biciklizni. Egy gond van, néhány éve eltekertem a lerakóig, de ott megkergettek a kutyák, emiatt nem járok arra sűrűn. Köszönöm az első lajosmizsei vonat képét (s a többi képet, hozzájárulást). Magam is rajta vagyok. Barátom pont azon az éjszakán méltoztatott nősülni a tanyán, hajnaltájt vezér cimborám Felsőlajoson felvett Desiróval és egy ócsai menet után ott lehetem Veletek. Előtte még a fehérvári gőzös is belefért, de csak úgy értem időben az esküvőre, hogy Mórból visszabuszoztam Fehérvárra. Épp itt linkeltem a képet: http://www.facebook.com/207299762707890/posts/591767624170190 Elég sok ilyen vegyes tapasztalatban kellett már részesülnöm ebben a Kárpát-medencében, Mivel "fizetős arcképesem" van, hőpapíros emlékeim csak külhonról léteznek. Az egyik ilyen szomorú napon a közelmúltban rádöbbentem: ha Stubnyafürdőn találok szállást és egy órán belül indulok, mind a 4 akkor szüneteltetendő felvidéki vonalon ott lehetek az utolsó üzemnapon, ebből kettő (Nagykapos, Palocsa) utolsó vonat volt, mivel ugye részint nem közlekedtek ott már hétvégén.
