A file of yours to fix please! edit

Greetings! Please take a look at File:ACU_Combat_Infantryman_Badges.JPG and see if you can categorize and describe it a bit better? It ended up in a catch-all category. While you're at it, if this is an U.S. insignia, you'll need the PD-USGov tag as well because the patches themselves are not your own work. Cheers!! question edit

Hi, I see you added the image "Current structure of the 20th NG SFG(A)". Could you add one for the 19th NG SFG(A), so that we can complete the Special Forces (United States Army) article? Thanks Thewolfchild (talk) 03:48, 23 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Deleted files edit

Hello. If the images you post are regularly deleted, there is a reason for that. If you are the author of an image, it is a bad practice to include a copyright notice in it, especially if the name in the copyright notice is:

  1. Different from your user name on Commons;
  2. The name of a website.

It is a common pratice for admins to delete on sight images which include copyright notices with names different from the name of the uploader, because 99% of them are copyright violations. For more information about the good practices to identify your work, please see Commons:Enforcing license terms#Tools for identifying your work. If you could stop including such copyright notices in your images, this would avoid the loss of time and energy. Up to now, there is no proof that you are the author of these files. Your message is not enough to prove it. Usually, I would have asked you to submit an OTRS ticket before restoring your files (this is the usual practice for similar cases, where the authorship is doubtful). Nevertheless, in this case, I will restore them because I eventually think that they contain no original work that is protected by copyright (it is just a collage of insignia that are simple geometry), so it does not really matter if you are really the author or not.
