Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

A file that you have uploaded to Wikimedia Commons, File:Familiaortega.jpg, was missing information about where it comes from or who created it, which is needed to verify its copyright status. The file probably has been deleted. If you've got all required information, request undeletion providing this information and the link to the concerned file ([[:File:Familiaortega.jpg]]). If you created the content yourself, enter {{Own}} as the source. If you did not add a licensing template, you must add one. You may use, for example, {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} or {{Cc-zero}} to release certain rights to your work. Wikimedia Commons does not accept fair use content. We do this because Commons is a shared media repository. Downstream wikis have different policies based on local laws. Uses that are acceptable under US law, for example, may not be acceptable in many other countries with more restrictive rules. In addition, fair use is not compatible with our aim as a collection of freely distributable media files. Therefore, Commons cannot legally rely on fair use provisions. Non-free content that may be used with reference to fair use may be uploaded locally if your project allows this.

Do you see ANY comment on the Diario lanacion website that allows you to steal the image and publish it here under a {{FAL}} - Free Art License?? Do you see any comment on the lanacion website saying that you can reuse their content freely, everywhere, for ever and for every purpose? Have you read Commons:Alcance_del_proyecto#Términos_de_licencia_requeridos? I dont think so.

I dont know how many accounts you already absued - (abuso ! mirar es:Wikipedia:Usuarios títeres) - but many. It is not understandable, it is realy astonishing and upsetting that you obviously never read the very, very, very basic rules but simply continued stealing. For God sake: Read the rules! My intention to work on Commons is not to exchange pleasantries. Seems like you not read rules. So if warning you that way will finaly make you read the rules and stop your abusive behaviour the unfriendly tone is appropriate. Talking nice to other users is always a good idea. Also if users upload unfree images. We can all make mistakes and if users is new a kind note with some help should normally be enough.

I do not know if Esperants has other accounts since there is no links to them. But if there is it is not good to use other accounts. If so please choose one and stop using the others.

I checked the first image mentioned on the talk page (File:Sebastianortega-2008.jpg). It is licensed all rights reserved on Flickr and this license is not allowed on Commons. However if author gave a permission (OTRS pending) then that is ok and image should not be deleted. I found a mail regarding the image in OTRS (https://ticket.wikimedia.org/otrs/index.pl?Action=AgentTicketZoom&TicketID=4304651&ArticleID=4897406&QueueID=151) but I can't read it so I can't tell if the permission is ok. It looks a little short but that should be something a relevant OTRS-user can fix by asking the person who send the mail.

The next image (File:Sebastianortega 2009.jpg) started as "Own work" but was changed after a copyvio notice. Copying from webpages is never allowed unless the site specific tells it is ok (then we need a working link to permission) or if you have a permission from the copyright holder to send to OTRS.

Images like File:Sebastianortega entrevistalanacion.jpg should have a link to where it was found (+ link to permission) so the license can be verified. If it is not from the web then a better description of source + a permission to send to OTRS would be good.

I therefore suggest you upload images you have taken yourself or make sure you have a valid permission before you upload them to Commons. --MGA73 (talk) 10:03, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

Regarding the OTRS ticket: It was sent by Esperants himself/herself and tells that he or she is asking for permission. This email does not refer to the Flickr image or its copyright holder nor does it promise to ask for permission or that a permission notice is to be expected from the copyright holder. --AFBorchert (talk) 11:59, 8 January 2010 (UTC)

This is not a mistake, it is persinting copyright violation by sockpuppeteer Special:WhatLinksHere/User:Sofia-co. From the first day this user did nothing but uploading stolen images. --Martin H. (talk) 07:33, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

File:Pablocullel-sebastianortega.jpg and File:Ucontenidos.jpg

Hi Esperants, you transfered these two pictures from Flickr (see here and here). Both pictures are under a {{Cc-by-nd-2.0}} license. You, however, added a {{Cc-by-sa-2.0}} license to them. Please be more careful in transfering such images as it is a copyright violation if you give a license to the images uploaded at Commons which is not compatible with the original license of the copyright holder. Secondly, the “nd” means that the copyright holder does not permit the creation of derivatives, i.e. the picture must not be changed. This restriction, however, limits the freedoms that are required for the files at Commons. We insist that all files must not only be freely distributable, be even usable for commercial purposes but also be changed. This would allow us to retouch an image, for example. I've deleted these two pictures as we cannot host them at Commons.

All images you have uploaded so far had to be deleted. From this it is obvious that you have either no idea or no regard to copyright law. Please do not continue to upload any more images from anywhere else on the web without asking first if they are acceptable at Commons. Regards, AFBorchert (talk) 19:28, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

The images on flickr are now relicensed, however the flickr user is not the copyright holder, compare [1] and [2], thats only a bad and silly attempt to evade copyrights - flickrwashing. --Martin H. (talk) 12:25, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
