File:Blason Henri Gatien Bertrand (1773-1844).svg : oranger / palmier edit

Cordialement, Jimmy44 (talk) 02:23, 25 January 2009 (UTC).Reply

There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful informations about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

Please don't blank pages edit

Hi Jimmy44,
Thank you for your contributions to Commons. I noticed you blanked Category:Henri Ier de Montmorency on Commons. I asume you meant for the page to be deleted, but blanking the page is not the right way to do this. I'd like to strongly recommend to use type reason here and add it on top of the page you would like to have deleted; This way it will be placed on a special list that administrators check regulary for deletion. Without this it might take a long time before it's noticed. Thanks again. 20:52, 29 May 2010 (UTC)–Krinkletalk

File:Antoine de Roquelaure.jpg edit

According to http://www.terride-arcadeche.com/article.php3?id_article=143 this was created by Jean-Claude Pertuzé who appears to be an active comic painter of our time. I agree, that this "painting" looks like a recent illustration and not an old one. Is it possible, that this isnt old and that the painter not died >70 years ago? --Martin H. (talk) 04:25, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I've find a description of a painting of Antoine de Roquelaure (GUERIN Paulin Jean-Baptiste, 1783-1855) in musée national des châteaux de Versailles et de Trianon who looks similar (half-body, 3/4, Order of the Holy Spirit). And now, I've find anything better : look at that !
Wow, thats very good. I noticed, that this Jean-Claude Pertuzé I mentioned is also on Commons and that it maybe is User:Morburre. So maybe my theorie is correct, maybe not. But your new finding and the new upload is so great that we dont need to investigate about the first version I think. --Martin H. (talk) 05:07, 19 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Jimmy44!

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

1 ou 3 fleur(s) ? edit

Bonjour,
