Inaccurate life restaurations edit

IMHO it would make sense not only to put the file into this category but to implement the inaccurate paleoart template (which automatically puts the file into an appropriate category) into the page, along with a short explanation/reasoning what exactly is wrong with the restauration, because the category alone may go unnoticed by less experienced users… --Gretarsson (talk) 16:10, 26 August 2019 (UTC); modified 16:14, 26 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

There's plenty of evidence to suggest that it is indeed Fred's work. The image was previously reviewed on Wikipedia & is both on his Twitter & Art Station. Monsieur X (talk) 06:07, 30 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Rangifer tarandus → Rangifer tarandus (juvenile) edit

Rangifer tarandus, Duisburg

Hi Monsieur X, thank you for your help in reviewing and assigning categories - I appreciate you taking the time to check the categories. I noticed that you changed the category of my reindeer photo from Rangifer tarandus to Rangifer tarandus (juvenile). However, I am not sure if it is really a juvenile as the animal was quite large in my memory, although I don't really know well about reindeer. I would like to understand what you are basing this on so that I can take it into account better in the future. Best regards Anil Ö. (talk) 03:40, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I thought it looked like an adolescent reindeer. What with the small bumps where its antlers should be & what looked like the animal changing into its adult coat. However, I could be wrong. Monsieur X (talk) 07:12, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
I'm not that knowledgeable about reindeer, so maybe I'm wrong. To me it looked like a full-grown animal, but I don't really have a comparison. If you have evidence that it is a juvenile or adolescent, please feel free to change the category. Regards --Anil Ö. (talk) 23:50, 27 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
