Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2018 is open! edit

Dear Nord794ub,

You are receiving this message because we noticed that you voted in R1 of the 2018 Picture of the Year contest, but not yet in the second round. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2018) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked.

In the final (and current) round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2018.

Round 2 will end 17 March 2019, 23:59:59.

Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee 18:04, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit Map News edit

Recently, the MRT Blue Line extension from Hua Lamphong to Tha Phra (and now on the 23rd of August; Bang Wa) has been opened. Would you mind updating the map to reflect the opening of the extension? KrebsLovesFiesh (talk) 15:27, 25 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

  • OK. Thank you for your attention. I will do it soon Nord794ub (talk) 02:02, 26 August 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Sorry to bother you again, but the Hua Lamphong - Lak Song section has now officially opened for normal service. KrebsLovesFiesh (talk) 16:50, 4 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • Alright, some new stuff opened for operation. On the BTS Sukhumvit Line, the Ha Yaek Lat Phrao to Kasetsart University station opened. On the MRT Blue line, the section from Tao Poon to Sirindhorn opened. Some of the stations' names are wrong, so please refer to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhumvit_Line for the correct names. Now, you could tell me if you want to keep getting updates on what's open and what's not from me, or want me to keep quiet so I don't bother you any further. But I'll be happy to help anytime. KrebsLovesFiesh (talk) 12:24, 8 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • A bit of a late update here, but the light green Sukhumvit Line northern extension has opened from Kasetsart University to Wat Phra Sri Mahathat. Some of the station names are wrong so please do correct them. Thank you. KrebsLovesFiesh (talk) 09:10, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Before the updates, I would like to recommend that you change the map's format a little. The context in which it is used implies that your map is the masterplan map (which it isn't) and not just the map for lines under construction. I suggest you change it to a masterplan map (constructed-under construction-planned), so that the the pages utilizing your map wouldn't be erroneously using the wrong map. Now, for the update: BTS Sukhumvit Line's Wat Phra Sri Mahathat to Khu Khot has opened. BTS Gold Line Krung Thonburi - Khlongsan has opened. The section beyond that is only on paper.
    • Hello. I made an update. Thank you. I would like to explain the idea of the map. This map is not a masterplan map. Bangkok masterplan is far from reality. Plans often change. I made this map to show people Mass Rapid Transit routes with real life scale. It is not a schema i prefer to call it a map. I drew proposal lines in 2018 only with approved contracts and assigned funds. It can guarantee the real construction later. It is a good idea to make masterplan map. May be i will make an update to my map later, probably. Nord794ub (talk) 04:18, 8 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Category:New Year trains (Moscow Metro) edit

Category:New Year trains (Moscow Metro), Category:New year train (Moscow Metro),

Former named trains of Moscow Metro IMHO. Nord794ub (talk) 14:50, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Nord794ub (talk) 14:52, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Category:New Year trains (Moscow Metro) - все поезда, хоть сколько-нибудь относящиеся к новогодним. Category:New Year 2018 (Moscow Metro) - это будет все сколько-нибудь новогодние поезда, приуроченные к 2018 году. Category:New year train (Moscow Metro) - это должна быть категория об историческом "Еже" вида Ezh3/Em508T. Вообще, в категориях "Former named trains of Moscow Metro" ничего плохого нет. Brateevsky {talk} 17:19, 13 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Some errors spotted on the Bangkok Mass Rapid Transit Map edit

Hey Nord, Amazing job on making the equal proportion metro map for Bangkok. Though I'd like to point out some mistake I saw on the map.

Dark Green Line:

  • Sueksa Witthaya was renamed to "Saint Louis" and is now open.

Light Red Line:

  • Bang Bamru is supposed to have the code "RW05" and Taling Chan is supposed to have the code "RW06"

Yellow Line:

  • Phatthanakan was renamed to "Hua Mak" to match the connecting Airport Rail link station

Pink Line:

  • Pak Kret was renamed to "Yaek Pak Kret"
  • Si Rat and Mueang Thong Thani station names are swapped
  • Bangkok Government Complex was shorten to just "Government Complex"
  • TOT was renamed to "National Telecom"
  • Phranakhon Rajabhat University was renamed to "Rajabhat Phranakhon"
  • Ram Inthra 31 was renamed to "Ram Inthra Kor Mor 4"
  • Ram Inthra 40 was renamed to "Ram Inthra Kor Mor 6"
  • Ram Inthra 83 was renamed to "Ram Inthra Kor Mor 9" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Packi124 (talk • contribs) 02:20, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Orange Line:

  • The route alignment of the orange line from Ramkhamhaeng 12 station to Thailand Cultural Centre station is not correct on this map. From Ramkhamhaeng 12, the line actually makes a west turn on the Ramkhamhaeng intersection onto Rama 9 Road and then takes a northwest turn after MRTA station to finally meet with Thailand Cultural Centre station.
  • Pradit Manutham was renamed to "Wat Phra Ram 9"
  • Rajamangala Stadium was renamed to "SAT"
  • Hua Mak was renamed to "Ramkhamhaeng 34"
  • Lam Sali is supposed to be named "Yaek Lam Sali"
  • Suwinthawong was renamed to "Yeak Rom Klao" and was move closer to Yeak Rom Klao intersection
  • The western extension from Thailand Cultural Centre is currently not under construction and the existence of Taling Chan station of this line is not confirmed yet. So I suggest you only display the eastern section of this line and wait for more thorough updates and conformation on list of stations from MRTA.

Purple Line:

  • Samsen was renamed to "Vajira Hospital"
  • The route alignment of the purple line from Bang Khun Phrom station to Saphan Phut station is not correct on this map. The line actually passes through the Bang Khun Phrom Intersection before turning east onto Phra Sumen Road and then along the Maha Chai road to meet with Sam Yot, then under the Chao Phraya river to finally meet with Saphan Phut station.
  • Chom Thong station was renamed to "Dao Khanong"
  • Dao Khanong station was renamed to "Bang Pakaeo"

Again, Amazing work but it'll be great if you fix these errors. Packi124 (talk) 01:54, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your attention. I will check the map soon and fix errors. 09:30, 13 June 2023 (UTC) Nord794ub (talk) 09:30, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
I fixed errors and uploaded new version of map. Your advices were excellent. But i made no changes to "Yeak Rom Klao" position (i checked by satellite images). And i left "orange line west" on the map (BEM already won the contract, we arу waiting the approval by cabinet, hope soon). Nord794ub (talk) 03:55, 14 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

The Wikimedia Commons (this website) only hosts media files with a realistic educational purpose and that can be used for any purpose, including:
  • use in any work, regardless of content
  • creation of derivative works

Please make sure that you only upload educational content you have created yourself, those which are out of copyright, or those for which you have the required permission for the work to be used in all the ways described above. Please note that derivative works of copyrighted material are also considered copyrighted. Hello Nord794ub.

You have uploaded one or more files that are copyright violations. You have done so despite requests from editors not to do so, and despite their instructions. See Commons:Licensing for the copyright policy on Wikimedia Commons. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules by subject matter useful.

This is your last warning. The next time you upload a file that violates copyright, you will be blocked. Please leave me a message if you have further questions.

Hello dear Yann. It is so nice from you, to make "the last warning". I hope you can see the history of the that 2 files. If you check it you will see that i put deletion request for them in a less than 10 minutes after uploading. I thought that WikiCommons is an area for people who wants to jointly contribute media for educational porposes. Some people uploads, some people sometime make errors, some people fix errors. But i thought that WikiCommons is an area free from tyranny and threats. Thanks to your attention i forced to immediately stop contributing to Wikimedia Commons. You may be sure, you do your best to support Wikimedia Commons Project. Nord794ub (talk) 20:03, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
As we can see above, you have quite an history of copyright violations. Please take care before uploading anything that it is entirely under a free license or in the public domain. If you are not sure, please ask me or on COM:VPC. Thanks, Yann (talk) 20:31, 14 April 2024 (UTC)Reply
