OK, je pense que ça marche, mais ça serait bien si tu pouvais demander à l'auteur s'il peut écrire un mail qui confirme que la licence GFDL lui va : il faut être sûrs qu'il a bien compris que ses photos peuvent etre redistribuées librement au-delà de Wikipédia, et qu'elle sont susceptibles d'être modifiées (je te dis ça parce que j'avais déjà eu le cas d'auteurs qui voulaient faire des choses torues du genre "c'est en GFDL seulement pour Wikipédia" ou je ne sais quelle excentricité).

Thanks for your message on my talk page. I noticed that you found it there, but on English Wikipedia it only says that it's from Arabic Wikipedia, and on the Arabic Wikipedia there is no clear copyright notice, only a reference to PD-Arabic without a source to back that up. There is no basis for the GFDL license on English Wikipedia, and thus no basis for it here either. Cnyborg 17:09, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

Also, I deleted the pictures you uploaded from this website as the license they're under is cc-by-nc-sa rather than cc-by-sa. Please give images better names

I noticed you've uploaded some images and I thought I should turn your attention to a common error.

Please give uploaded images meaningful names. Otherwise they are difficult to track and it is hard to tell what the image is about without actually looking at it. I suggest you rename each image with an intuitive name that describes the image itself. Thanks, and happy editing! Cecil 09:31, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.

Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Omar86. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Omar86~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.

Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
