Disappearing text in SVG file edit

Hi! I am wondering if someone could explain to me why it is the full text on my SVG files are fine when I click on them and open in full screen, but when they are thumb images on commons or Wikipedia some of the text is disappearing. Any ideas? (below are examples of what I mean. Click on them in commons and then click again to see them in full screen, where the disappearing text magically reappears)

It should say Real GDP (billions of constant $ 2005) on the side, but instead it just says Real GDP

It should say value on top, but instead it's just a V
I suggest you ask at Commons:Graphic Lab/Illustration workshop.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 20:44, 3 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
It appears @Sarang fixed them for you.   — Jeff G. please ping or talk to me 11:50, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

With Inkscape a very strange construction of the text was created, as can be seen in the SVG sourcecode; the Wikimedia librsvg could not handle it in all cases. It had not been difficult to repair it. If you like, you may check the sourcecode for the differencies. -- sarang사랑 12:17, 12 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Women in the United States Senate map edit

Hi Pharexia! Would you mind giving this file an update? With the appointment of Kelly Loeffler in Georgia earlier this month, Georgia now has a male and a female Senator and should be colored purple on the map. Thanks in advance! Yompi20 (talk) 19:07, 31 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pharexia just wanted to inform you I removed that part added by Nang tin saw cause imo this is vandalism. If you do not agree, I'd like to hear from you. :-) Lotje (talk) 16:41, 5 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I like this map, but I have a suggestion for a moderate change. My suggestion is to introduce a new category for countries which have had infections, but are presently without any active infection. These are countries where confirmed cases=deaths+recoveries. As of right now (2020-02-11 20:05 UTC) the following countries would belong to this category:

Philippines, Cambodia, Finland, Sri Lanka.

A continuing expansion of this category would signal the retreat of the epidemic, and I believe such information would be useful. Melsom62 (talk) 20:12, 11 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Misleading coronavirus map edit

Not every state in the US, Australia, Canada & New Zealand has been infected. The current map is very misleading. They should use this US map, this canadian map, and this Australian map.--Chrysolophus pictus (talk) 01:02, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Painting Nunavut and Alberta red is absurd. Likewise, the 1 NZ case is only in Auckland City. The South Island should not be painted red. --Chrysolophus pictus (talk) 01:10, 29 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi Pharexia, I'm one of the updaters of File:Italian COVID19 contagious.png, and I'm looking forward to continue work on the new File:Countries and territories with COVID-19 cases linked directly to Italian cluster.svg. Map of coronavirus pandemic in puerto rico edit

Hello,Pharexia. Can you make a map of coronavirus pandemic in Puerto Rico based on this map:   Affected municipality: San Juan Sources for locations: https://abcnews.go.com/Health/wireStory/puerto-rico-announces-confirmed-coronavirus-cases-69593953 https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/coronavirus/puerto-rico-gov-confirms-coronavirus-cases-on-island/2205575/ — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 72.50.6.191 (talk) 13:49, 14 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

COVID-19 Outbreak World Map.svg edit

Hello Pharexia, thank you for the illustration about the pandemic. However in the french page about the pandemic discussion, we might think the specific death count might be more relevant than the case count. Do you know if such a map could be found ? --LamaPunk (talk) 08:43, 23 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Pharexia: I was thinking of the world map for death cases reported in the same https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports. But instead of the cases infected with the coronavirus, the colors in the map would match with the total deaths column shown in the report. Maybe that graph already exists ? --LamaPunk (talk) 21:08, 24 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maryland 2004 election page. edit

Hi Pharexia, I noticed a simple mistake on your by county image on the Maryland 2004 election page. It improperly shows Anne Arundel county in the 40-50% coloring when it should be in the 50-60% coloring. I was wondering if you could make this change to page or could allow me permission to edit the image. Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vitamin vic (talk • contribs) 04:49, 18 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

A map of just the southern states? edit

Thanks for your WP contributions Pharexia.

A map of just the southern states would sure be helpful for a report I am working on about meat workers and covid in the South. And perhaps ongoing usefulness to many.

Sort of this:

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Map_of_USA_South.svg

with the rest of the US gone.

two letter state labels a plus.

someone else proposed this which has elegant state lines but is missing two states!

https://www.vippng.com/preview/mxioTx_of-the-us-southern-states-us-southern-states/

I hope this is not a burden, and possible, thanks.

file:Commonwealth realms map.svg edit

Hi. I have reverted your addition per Commons:Overwriting existing files and suggest that you may wish to separately upload your file.

My concern is that what is being displayed, and whether your overwrite changes the nature of the original intent. As I think it does, I believe that you should upload your image separately, and add your updated description can then be attached. Those images are generally not meant to be dynamic, we are better capturing changes with new files with descriptive names, so we can reflect the political changes. For example, show me the geopolitical maps through time of the Commonwealth of Nations.  — billinghurst sDrewth 00:41, 15 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Could you please amend Antigua and Barbuda on the new map: it's shown as an overseas territory but should be a realm. Thanks. DrKay (talk) 17:04, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

Also Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands are realms, and I think Anguilla is missing? DrKay (talk) 17:11, 27 June 2020 (UTC)Reply

False maps edit

You seem to be creating an awful lot of maps depicting the Sool and Sanaag regions of Somalia as pro-secession. However, as the File:Unionist tribes of northern Somalia (green).png shows, the tribes along the border do not consider themselves as secessionist. At most what you could do is revert the inaccuracies you've created in your maps. At least what you could do is to cease creating any more such misleading maps. Thank you. File:AbortionRestrictions2013.svg edit

Hi. I redid the key to this map. The colors of the key did not match the colors of the states, and there weren't enough of them. Without a ref, I can't tell what they mean, so I blanked the numbers. If you have a ref, please correct. Otherwise the map is essentially useless. Kwamikagami (talk) 22:32, 29 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
