Demande de suppression d'une image edit

Cher Sismarinho,

Cordialement, — Racconish ☎ 11:42, 20 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2015 is open! edit

You are receiving this message because you voted in R1 of the 2015 Picture of the Year contest.

Dear Sismarinho,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2015 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the tenth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2015) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1322 candidate images. There are 56 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top #1 and #2 from each sub-category. In the final round, you may vote for just one or maximal three image to become the Picture of the Year.

Round 2 will end on 28 May 2016, 23:59:59 UTC.

File:Soa Amin with Abdullah The Butcher.jpg edit

Hello!

Thank you for uploading File:Soa Amin with Abdullah The Butcher.jpg to the Wikimedia Commons. I noticed that when you uploaded from another Wikimedia project, you left out some important information, or copied it incorrectly. In the future, please consider using CommonsHelper, a tool which automates the process of moving files over. Thank you,

@Magog the Ogre: I wish to use it for https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SantanaGarrettEntrance.png but this doesn't work.--Sismarinho le blasé (talk) 07:57, 31 August 2016 (UTC)Reply
Uncheck the box that says "directly transfer." That is broken even if the text generator isn't. Unfortunately, the tool maintainer isn't active enough to fix it. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 00:07, 1 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your VFC installation method is deprecated edit

Hello Sismarinho, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Thanks! --VFC devs (q) 16:23, 22 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Cropping images edit

I had to review your cropped image File:Road Warrior Animal cropped.jpg. By way of information for the future, when you want to crop an image I suggest you use the CropTool that can be activated in your commons Preferences, under Gadgets. The CropTool will then appears in the left side of your screen. It saves everyone a lot of time because it transfers all the correct and appropriate information into the cropped image, such as source, license, author, etc. It even leaves a backlink to the original and visa versa so long as the original has been positively reviewed. That way all the proper information is there and does not need to be manually reviewed again. If you are just cropping a small bit of the image like a frame, you can decide to overwrite the original image but for more major crops, like the one you did, you should upload the copped version as a separate new image, but you have a choice. I hope you can see how everyone can save time and frustration by using CropTool. Good luck. Ww2censor (talk) 15:33, 18 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for uploading File:David Flair with Paul Billets (cropped).jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:David Flair with Paul Billets (cropped).jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

File:'Free Concerts' Radio Dealer poster (1922).jpg] edit

Your inital speedy nomination was declined and a subsequent DR, in which you curiously did not particulate, found no valid reason for deletion. Nevertheless, you have again added an identical, spurious speedy request. I also note you have been warned about inappropriate speedy tagging before. Please discontinue adding inappropriate speedy requests, as it is disruptive and may result in a block. Эlcobbola talk 20:55, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

grizzled young veterans edit

hi i received a message this morning that i violated a copyright use for the james drake.jpg and zack gibson.jpg because it wasn't a "free use". when i came across the jpg's online i asked the owner(alice) who takes great photos. if i could use the photos under her consent and she said yes it would be a pleasure to use one of her pictures. i don't know why the pictures would be taken down when i also gave a link to where the pictures came from cause it wasn't my picture but someone else's. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thatprowrestlingnovaig (talk • contribs) 16:22, 26 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please don't worry, it was not big problem. Deletion requests pages may be long and such cases had less chances to be discovered. In this particular case I watched deletion requests because of previous problematic files I nominated for deletion. --EugeneZelenko (talk) 14:40, 10 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
