Redução do Bloqueio

Olá Teles gostaria que vc diminuisse esse prazo de bloqueio, pois ninguém merece ter de ficar sem usar a wikipédia até meados de Dezembro, por esse bloqueio iniciado, devido ao IP que não se tem nada a haver. iniciado por seu Zoldyick cujo a intenção dele, era me manter bloqueado, não sei por quê? Porque quando carrego uma imagems, videos meus, que eu sozinho gravei com meu celular, voces apagam o video ou a imagem, dizendo que eu violei, os direitos autorias, se eu sou o autor da imagem, qual direito autorial voces querem que eu meta na imagem?.

@Jonasse102: Obrigado por entrar em contato. A resposta simples para explicar a eliminação dos arquivos é que você não é o criador deles como referiu.
Explicando melhor: por mais que você esteja produzindo um vídeo, está usando como base materiais produzidos por outros autores, sem informar sobre a fonte desses materiais e suas licenças. Está usando um áudio nos vídeos, está usando imagens do seu computador. Não se sabe qual a licença desses materiais, pois você não referiu. Tem certeza de que eles podem ser usados dessa forma, sem nem mesmo citar os autores? É preciso trazer informação completa sobre a música e as imagens.
Além disso, o vídeo não parece ter uso educacional. Por exemplo, produziu um vídeo em que escreve num bloco de notas listando os jogos de "Android" que você possui em seu computador. Qual o uso educacional nesse caso?

Bantul the Great - Copywrite issue

Hi Teles, I have cropped the following image File:Narayan Debnath Complete ComicsCover Volume 2.jpg, to get the image for Bantul the Great, Handa and Bhonda and Bahadur Beral. the original work is there for quite some time in the commons. If that is not a copywrite violation then how come my work which is just a cropped image of the same is copywrite violation? Please clarify my doubt. - Pasaban (talk) 09:19, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

@Pasaban: Hello! The point is that I believe the original file also seems to have copyright issues. The originating file was uploaded by an user called "Bonyoraj", claiming to be the owner of it. However, the authorship of material is attributed to Narayan Debnath and the same file can be found in other places on internet. So, it is something that needs clarification and that is why I marked the originating file as missing permission from the author.
Sadly, if the original file is not uploaded in a free license, all derivative material isn't either. Bonyoraj was notified and I hope he or she can answer. Thank you for writing here. Regards.—Teles «Talk to me ˱_{C L @ S}˲» 09:33, 26 December 2014 (UTC)

Let me explain what the Orginal file is. This is a cropped photograph of the cover of a book, which is a collection of all comics works by Narayan Debnath (I happen to have one purchased copy of the book with me). What "Bonyoraj" did, is he cropped the heading section of the book. Now, here I have doubt that can you take a snap of a cover of a book and claim that as copywrite free? I have seen some other commons material like Batman comics cover. There it was using {{Non-free comic}} license. So can we do the same here? I guess this is the primal question that we need answer. "Bonyoraj" might also ask the same question. Hope this info helps you to guide me if this is copywrite violation. Alternately in general can I draw the charecter on my own and upload? @Pasaban: Those are good questions. If that book cover is not free, it can't be uploaded in Commons. That is what is important to define in this case. Apparently, it is indeed not free, and only with the permission of author and his willing to make it available in a free license it can change.
I would like to point you to "Commons:Fan_art#Copyright_in_fan_art". If you draw a non-free comic, that drawing can't also exist on Commons, as it is considered a derivative work. The file of Batman you pointed above was not uploaded on Commons for that reason; it was uploaded on English Wikipedia, following local policies (Fair Use) that imposes several restrictions on its usage. Qual o problema?

Você deixou um aviso pra mim avisando que o arquivo que criei File:Cartaz de Ao Sul do Meu Corpo - 1982.jpeg foi apagado. Qual o problema?

E se quiser ser construtivo ao invés de apenas repetir a desinformação e destrabalho de alguns aspectos desse lugar, diga clara e diretamente em que pontos eu devia ter feito diferente. O meu arquivo não foi cópia, como parece ter sido a razão pra ser apagado. E além disso eu o criei tendo em mente as coisas que entendo dos princípios de direitos autorais aqui.

Não me mande ponteiros para páginas, a não ser que cite exatamente quais palavras dela você queira me mostrar. Copie e cole, isso garante que todos entendam.

@Rapidim: Deve estar se referindo ao arquivo que carregou sob o nome "File:Cartaz de Ao Sul do Meu Corpo - 1982.jpeg".
Ele foi proposto para eliminação, porque aparentemente não é o detentor dos direitos de autor do arquivo.
No sumário de criação do arquivo, foi dita por você a seguinte frase:

"Essa imagem foi criada por mim mesmo, baseada em imagens do cartaz original do filme em fotografias anônimas."

Isso significa que a imagem é um trabalho derivado. Portanto, é necessário ter mais informação sobre o cartaz original. Se o cartaz original não foi publicado em uma licença livre ou se não tem permissão do autor do cartaz original para publicar o arquivo aqui, ele não deve ser publicado.

Mass copyvios

@Yann: Hi. I see what you mean. I think that warning them may be valid in case we want them to know that what they are doing is enough wrong to hold our attention at a point of creating that page and may discourage them to keep doing it as similar actions will be undone on future, but would only work for educating purposes, in the sense of informing them that what they are doing is wrong. However, I am not convinced that they are doing this in good faith as if they were just unaware that this is wrong. I believe they know that this is not allowed, but keep doing it because it is easy for them. Pointing them to that page could make them see how we work and create different uploading patterns, so we can't easily detect them. Also, we are linking Facebook pages there that some of us are joined to follow their uploads and delete them. If they are a little smart they will notice that and kick us out or create other groups.

You are probably right about their good faith. I don't know if we should hide or not. What about asking other admins? They do not seem to be very smart, but I didn't study their behaviour in details. I think the best we can do now is making things difficult for them, so that using Commons is not worth the effort. If we manage to block and delete fast enough, then their scheme is not efficient anymore. Hopefully this will end soon (see User talk:Yann#Follow-up). @Natuur12: I don't think they would suspect of some details. For instance, they probably wouldn't suspect we are watching them on Facebook, but if we point them a link to their FB pages, showing them that we are aware of its existence and connection, they may be more cautious and connect the dots. @Teles, Natuur12, and Yann: and pinging @Denniss and EugeneZelenko: ^{who engaged in current blocks/deletions or previous deletion requests} + @Philippe (WMF): Currently, I am avoiding a link to User:Teles/Mass copyvios in (speedy) deletion request using "Angola Facebook case" instead, giving the checking/deleting admin a clue and maintaining User:Teles/Mass copyvios as some kind of project monitoring page. This also because Angola's time zone is for me only -1 hour back and sometimes I catch the uploads almost immediately.

The technical background: en:Facebook Zero offers a free (mobile) access to a stripped-down version of Facebook (text-only, no photos, any click on extra content costs money for them or - using their words - "saldo" = credit). And en:Wikipedia Zero (including Commons) is free of charge (also text-only) on mobile phones.

What we have: Some pre- or post-pubertal guys from Angola are gaming the system using Commons as free-of-charge/no-"saldo" (music) hoster, creating FB groups and explaining how to access these files, like this recent post (from this group^{visible only as member}). Admin = "Älbërtö Jösë" = one of the main (and recent) uploaders --> see del logs I ("alberto jose") + II + III + IV + V + VI + VII + VIII + IX + X + XI. "Älbërtö Jösë" usually deletes his FB posts linked to files uploaded at Commons if they were deleted.

I don't know if you have to spend money in form of data credits ("saldo") for uploading (and/or downloading) files via Wikipedia Zero but we can assume that the huge (and increasing) user list at User:Teles/Mass copyvios may be reducible due to sockpupperty (admins of the related FB groups/page, see above: "Älbërtö Jösë", but we have also socks related to admins of other FB groups). Of cource we have still a lot of free-riders.

@Yann: "They do not seem to be very smart" --> Serving clichés/stereotypes: Angola --> developing country --> low education level --> no clue of legal understanding of copyrights --> Englisch skills: reduced to rap fragments ("nigga!") --> teens want to share what teens worldwide like: music --> strong inferiority complex --> likes per Facebook --> self-affirmation.

In the meantime (when files are still living) they get the thumbs up at Facebook = motivation enough for continuing the uploads and - much the worse - motivating free-riders to do the same. Have you considered reporting the groups and users to Facebook? Facebook's community standards prohibit the use of Facebook to facilitate or organize criminal activity that causes financial damage to people or businesses. Their legal terms prohibit any action on Facebook that infringes or violates someone else's rights or otherwise violates the law, and claims that accounts that repeatedly infringe other people's intellectual property rights will be disabled when appropriate. Since these people seem to refuse to get the message, perhaps it's time they start losing their Facebook accounts? —LX (talk, contribs) 17:37, 3 September 2015 (UTC)

Getting a bit impacient with all that. Facebook - just like other big sites, such as YouTube - is aware of the many copyright violations that happens on their domain as a routine. They will not move a muscle unless there is a chance of somebody remove their money directly or not. They are fed by the majority people that have no clue about copyright rules.
It was recently reported to some members of WMF to see if they can use some influence. I can't tell how large is that influence, but is definitely better than a regular user of a certain project called "Commons". If that doesn't come to an end, I would try public ways to complain about Facebook, so they can start worrying about a negative opinion people might have from it, specially when we reputation of initiative like internet.org may be in discussion.
In any case, we can still pay attention to blockable IP ranges. Sometimes ISP start answering mails when they see their IP ranges blocked... and blocking internet.org may be a little bit shameful for them.—Teles «Talk to me ˱_{C L @ S}˲» 03:48, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Imagem no Flickr

Olá Teles, tudo bem? Fiz upload de uma imagem do Flickr no Commons^[1] e gostaria que pudesse verificar se a licença que atribuí está de acordo com a original, uma vez que a licença pela qual a foto foi postada no Flickr é "Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 Generic (CC BY-SA 2.0)", porém, existe uma nova versão dessa licença, que é a "Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0)", então deixei sob essa última, que é a atual, enfim.

Oi, Rodriguesnetoh! Acredito que não deve alterar a licença, pois elas possuem algumas diferenças, como pode ver aqui. Se você quiser, pode modificar um trabalho seu para uma licença mais nova, mas trabalhos de outros devem permanecer nas licenças em que foram publicadas. Those that want to use a free license on Commons must be the authors of the material or must upload a video that had already been published on a free license. It seems to me that this is a case of license laundering. The video seems to have been broadcasted by a television program and the author mentioned there may not be the actual author of the material, but just the uploader. Se a licença em que ele foi publicado permite cópia para qualquer fim, inclusive comercial, é bem provável que possa ser aceito no Commons. Você deve saber a localização geográfica de usuário bloqueado GILP007 (verifiquei que globalmente). Aposto que é Recife. Aposto também que esta conta: Gilde1996, que esta editando aqui, é dele. Isso porque o IP 191.248.235.74 postou uma foto que esse Gilde1996 carregou, no mesmo dia. Este IP fez edições nos mesmos artigos que o GILP007 possui sock bloqueado recentemente (tudo isso na Wikipédia): Marz (rapper), Eduardo (rapper), Alberto Maia. A única edição desta conta na wiki (RZO), também é em artigo que possui sock do GILP007. Por dedução, só pode ser mais uma conta dele. Se isto for de seu interesse? Users from Angola?

Hello from Greece. Sorry for writing in English, but I don't speak Portuguese! I'd like to mention that after blocking a whole range of Angolan users for uploading copyrighted files, they have moved in el.wiki uploading many files daily. They are under control, of course, and their "contributions" are deleted, but is there a more "permanent" measure that can be taken? When we blocked two of them couple of days ago, they returned with other nicknames. I believe it's far better to watch them than to block them, 'cause we 'll have to find out their new nicknames. Please give us an advice on how to face them more permanently, because it's not possible to watch on 24h basis their contributions. --Ttzavaras (talk) 21:59, 19 March 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Ttzavaras. Sorry for taking too long to answer, but I had a very limited time to edit here in recent days. When we blocked many IP ranges here on Commons, they went to other smaller projects to upload copyrighted files. You can follow some discussion on this Phabricator task. I think there is no easy solution at this moment. Perhaps if we could disable uploads via Wikipedia Zerp that would solve it, but it seems it is not that easy. WMF and some developers are aware of it and discussing how to address the issue. I know that they are having a hard time to connect in many projects after a few ranges were globally blocked. Olá estou tentando colocar na wikimedia algumas fotos, juntamente com um amigo que é o autor das mesmas [[ ]]. Trata-se de fotos de integrantes da banda Almôdegas [[3]]. Mas está sendo bem penoso. Da primeira vez que tentamos, o autor das fotos me autorizou fazer upload mas as fotos foram retiradas sumariamente [[4]]. Depois disso o próprio autor das fotos tentou mas as fotos também foram retiradas do ar [[5]]. Eu não entendo o que está acontecendo e agradeceria a ajuda. Oi, Ricardosdag! Vou tentar ajudá-lo. O que o Commons precisa é saber que o autor das imagens está de acordo em publicá-las numa licença livre. Como eu vejo que as fotos foram tiradas de um site, existem pelo menos duas formas de se fazer isso. Eu acredito que o mais simples seria alterar a imagem do site (Blog do Emilio Pacheco), informando que concorda em publicá-las numa licença livre usada pelo Commons, como CC-BY-SA 4.0. É suficiente, por exemplo, alterar a legenda da foto ou o rodapé do site informando o nome do autor e referir a licença que escolher (cito novamente a licença CC-BY-SA 4.0 como exemplo).
Outra forma é o autor enviar um email para um endereço específico e com os links da imagens que foram publicadas aqui informando que concorda em publicá-las aqui no Commons sob essa licença livre. Existe uma mensagem predefinida para auxiliar na escrita dessa permissão.

A segunda opção parece ser a melhor pois o autor das fotos, que é o próprio Emilio Pacheco, do blog, já enviou e-mail seguindo o modelo no qual informa que as fotos são dele próprio e podem ser licenciadas segundo no Commons. Acredito que essa ideia que você deu de indicar a autoria das fotos no Blog seja uma boa forma de garantir que ele é o autor. Vou falar com ele sobre isso. Olá Teles! Há um tempo estou com algumas questões pendentes aqui no Commons. Já expus algumas na Esplanada. Sem resposta, fui à PD de Darwin. Mas não tive retorno. Por isso, estou mandando esta mesma mensagem para os demais administradores lusófonos do Commons (Waldir, Érico, Dantadd) para pedir ajuda.

• Primeiro é pedir que a renomeação que foi feita Category:Casa de Oxumare. Ou seja, para pôr de volta . A palavra é acentuada, a página eletrônica assim grafa.

Revision Deletion on my talk page

Please don't make rev dels on my talk page -- or anyone else's for that matter. The subject came back, so I saw his response, but if he had not come back, I would not have known that he had responded. Even a strike out would have been inappropriate. When dealing with newbie editors, it is best not to expect perfection and certainly not to delete a comment that contains useful information, even if it is incorrect in one sense. In the past, a few of my talk page stalkers have deleted vandalism or attacks. This has been done entirely in good faith, trying to be helpful and to remove potentially stressful stuff. My philosophy is that I would rather see everything, so I can see what various bad guys are doing. So, although I don't think we have a policy on it, I much prefer it if people do not remove stuff from my talk page, even if it is purely attack or vandalism. Thanks, .     Jim . . . O usuário deletou todos os arquivos que eu carreguei apenas dizendo que eu violei direitos autorais. Isso inclui fotografias que eu mesmo fiz, mapas derivados de outros mapas sob licença livre, brasões e bandeiras sob domínio público, etc. Parece que cada vez que eu explico fica ainda mais óbvio o engano que eles tão cometendo. @Adam Cuerden: I strongly disagree. Commons is not a humorous site. It's ok to add things like that on your userpage or another page with humorous purpose, but adding that mixed with file information is misleading and harmful to the impression people have regarding Commons. That's actually the way I learned about this pun; someone posted a bad impression on social media pointing to that file. We have to add serious, precise information only on its description. Moço... Mundim pequeno esse! Tentando arrumar minimamente a categ da Chapada Diamantina por aqui, e ao mesmo tempo descarregando ao máximo as fotos que tenho em arquivo - já que tempo é algo que não sei mais quanto me resta - convenci um amigo a me deixar carregar fotos que fizemos numa comunidade quilombola caetiteense. Resumo, achei que ele não soubesse mesmo como era isso aqui mas, pra minha surpresa, lá estava uma foto dele justamente da Chapada. Carregou, lá em 2016, três fotos apenas - uma delas justamente para concorrer ao Wiki Love Earth (ou nome parecido). Eu não carregara, justamente, uma das minhas fotos dele fotografando e, como não há página de usuário criada - pensei mesmo em editar, deixando um registro para linkar as imagens que ele me cedeu. Então, quando abri agora a User talk:Antonio Claudio Barbosa, quem vejo convidando-o para o WLE de 2019? Quem? O Teles!
Pois... Então vim direto te perguntar: tem algum problema se eu editar a página de user dele com as informações do Prof. Claudinho? Inclusive porque acredito que ele nem tenha mais a senha, e pretendo descobrir se ele tem mais imagens que queira trazer para cá. É um puta fotógrafo...

Com relação a editar a página de usuário do fotógrafo... acho que não há uma regra específica aprovada por aqui. Tendo a acreditar que não seria adequado você editar a página dele sem autorização expressa.
Ainda assim, uma boa opção é fazer uma user gallery. É possível colocar uma introdução sobre o autor e abaixo listar as imagens que foram publicadas por ele. Há vários exemplos aqui. Será que condiz com o que pretendia?

Na verdade, não... e sim. Veja, ele nem lembra mais quem criou a conta (se ele mesmo ou um terceiro). O fato é que ele quer me passar umas imagens lá da Chapada Diamantina para carregar aqui. Eu já havia trazido algumas que fizemos juntos, a trabalho, quando registramos em 2014 o encontro das comunidades quilombolas (tem até registro da época no meu Face, onde não posso ir porque me bloquearam "para minha segurança" e não consigo desbloquear). Figurei-me, neste caso, como co-autor delas. Mas ele me disponibilizou uma série de imagens que você pode conferir umas amostras no Instagram "decore_com_fotografia" (vale a pena!). Ele me perguntou se quero alguma foto do Itobira, mas está agora em viagem, só quando retornar. Ele não tem paciência para mexer nisso aqui e eu não estava querendo usar o treco de autorização de terceiro, acho que tentei muitos anos atrás e foi muito ruim... Quanto à categ, é uma boa. Cheguei a pensar em criar um "Author" pra ele, mas desisti... A categ é mais simples, eu até tenho a minha mas nunca uso (o Lalli até fez uma predefinição para usar nos meus envios, mas nem lembro mais como é!). Enfim, grato pelas dicas. There are several images of church of Assumption in Viciebsk, Belarus. The church was designed by the the group of architects lead by Igor Rotko, who is still alive. Belarus has issue with freedom of panorama. In 2014 the image of this church was deleted (see request. In March 2015 and May 2015 the file was requested to be undeleted under rationale that the author right doesn't belong to the group of modern architects. My question is should File:Віцебскія краявіды 06.jpg be eventually deleted or should File:Vitsebsk Uspenski sabor.JPG be undeleted? Jarash (talk) 20:26, 17 June 2023 (UTC)
