Bot's tasks for which permission is being sought: Downgrading protection level of ~3500 templates listed at User:4nn1l2/Templateprotected following the creation of a new user group called 'templateeditor'. See Commons:Template editor and the associated consensus for more details. The list includes all fully-and-indefinitely-protected templates except for those which are in use on the MediaWiki namespace and all language editions of Main Page. I made 40 test edits. I want to do this with my own account because protection can only be done by admins. I will use the standard Pywikibot protect.py script with minor changes because the current script does not support 'templateeditor' protection level. 4nn1l2 (talk) 01:35, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
