MaximaximaxBot

Operator: MaxiMaxiMax (talk)

The bot uses pywikipedia framework.

I use it for my own tasks (mostly to rename categories and other similar tasks), but if other users ask me to use it for them I will try to help. I'm administrator here, in Commons, and mostly work with Russia-related stuff, so usually I'm asked by Russian-speaking users.

I have a bot account for the same purpose and with the same name in ru-wiki - w:ru:User:MaximaximaxBot.

Automatic or Manually Assisted: Both

Edit type (e.g. Continuous, daily, one time run): I run it sometimes, when I need to perform a repetitive task.

Maximum edit rate (eg edits per minute): 3-4 edits per minute

Bot flag requested: (Y/N): Y

Programming Language(s): Python, Pywikipedia framework.

Discussion

If somebody thinks that the name which I gave to a category is wrong and he can suggest a better name, we can discuss it and when we find consensus I will rename it without a problem. MaxiMaxiMax (talk) 16:20, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please read Commons:Bots#Information on bots and add the requested details to the bot's page. A good example can be found here. --MichaelMaggs (talk) 11:10, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry for delay on this, what was the upshot? ++Lar: t/c 19:21, 25 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Another week has went by, more or less, with no answer to Michael's suggestion of 6 June. I suggest we give this another week and if there is no further answer (I reminded MaxiMaxiMax at his talk page here) we archive this as request not granted. Comments? ++Lar: t/c 01:22, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It's time to archive this one. Multichill (talk) 19:29, 21 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No objections by me, please flag this bot its waiting a long time now. Huib talk 07:34, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Huib, read the thread... the bot author was asked some questions and hasn't addressed them. This would be archived without being done I think, rather than being done, but maybe I'm misinterpreting. ++Lar: t/c 21:30, 25 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, guys, I had vacations and when I'm back I forgot about the request. It's up to you whether to grant bot status or not. MaxiMaxiMax (talk) 06:09, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This request has been here for a pretty long time. The bot seems to be fine, and I would recommend to give it a bot flag. As to MichaelMagg's concern, I have added the details to the bot user page. So, only thing now is whether we should grant a flag or not. Kanonkas // talk // e-mail // 16:30, 19 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I think this bot status should be not a big deal. MaxiMaxiMax (talk) 14:29, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Maximaximax: Please address the question asked by Michael or this request needs to be closed as unfulfilled. The bot owner needs to be the person adding details to the bot's page, otherwise they are not authoritative... others cannot do it for you. This was asked about in June, and it went unanswered for months. That's not good at all. ++Lar: t/c 13:08, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Close as not granted. Owner is not responsive enough to requests. ++Lar: t/c 10:52, 3 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
