Reason:
There are many images in this category, but most of them show Golden temple with additional surrounding structures/infrastructure. Other good images have people in front and temple on the back. In current category about the building of a temple itself I believe this image better represents it's architecture (in resolution and size) than others that are present. -- Oleg Yunakov (talk)
Thank you for your interest in the submission and your feedback. The category that the image was chosen to be nominated in exists in Wiki and is named: "Category:2010 in India". If one will read the description of the category it says: "Images/pictures taken in India in 2010 and sorted by month they were taken". This doesn't mean that the image must have an event or celebration that occurred in 2010 and is unique to 2010. All it says is that it must meet the following condition: "pictures taken in India in 2010". Upon check of the date of the picture and my confirmation that the date on the picture is valid I believe that the image does indeed answers the criteria that it was nominated for. Please let me know if it makes sense. Thanks. --Oleg16:24, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Changing the scope as per Yann’s advice (removed prior votes as per the policy. Please kindly revote keeping the new category in mind. Thank you. Oleg Yunakov (talk) 18:35, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please notify previous voters of this change. Remember: "A support vote that was made before a change of scope is not counted unless it is reconfirmed afterwards; an oppose vote is counted unless it is changed or withdrawn".
Support I think this is the best in scope as it properly reflect the building without any additional "add-ons" such as people in front or other buildings (as author mentioned). Thanks. PhotoGenIc (talk) 23:14, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment I moved this nomination to the "Most valued reviews" section because I think this other image should be in for a voting of which deserves the VI title for this scope. Let me remind you that this picture was Picture of the Year 2009, and though the temple does not entirely dominate the composition, I think this is one is more symbolic and thus deserves the VI stamp. --Murdockcrc (talk) 20:17, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose All you support this great image but the subject of the scope here is in the background. Somehow the temple is not dominant here but should be so that to meet the scope! The man and the ritual in itself takes the whole attention and we can call this very distracting. So the photo don't meet someway the criteria for VI, imo.--MrPanyGoff11:48, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
I think that this is the best in scope. It gives more information about the green site in the right but mostly about the landscape in the backgrond. -- MrPanyGoff (talk)
Because I moved it in a „Most Valued Review“ section. There are two more photos in this category that deserves attention, in my oppinion.--MrPanyGoff (talk) 12:16, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment excellent position and composition. I know it was probably taken from a moving helicopter and it’s almost impossible to make it crisp, but I am a quality freak (even that it’s not one of the 5 criteria’s). I’d prefer a clearer image that is present in the category (even than it’s not reflecting the entire scene as this pic dose). PhotoGenIc (talk) 18:00, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Comment A tough choice. A month ago, I considered nomination of this subject but couldn't decide which one between your photo and this one. As if the second image gives more information of the actual rotunda.--MrPanyGoff21:59, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is the "Official Portrait", made public today, of the new President of Brazil. It is surely the highest quality and most relevant photograph of Dilma Rousseff. -- Missionary (talk)
Info -- This is the challenging VI, in a new discussion. Please add new comments and votes below.
review=Comment At first sight, the nominated reproduction looks very spectacular but what do you think about competition in MVR with this one: ?--MrPanyGoff21:19, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Comment come on mates, it shouldnt be too hard to tell for experts like you... criteria 2 to 6 are fullfilled for each photo. you just have to tell which one is the most valuable. good points for this photo : the photo has been taken on the restored painting, and was taken directly in the beaune hotel-dieu, in the conditions the cultural officer wanted it to be exposed. i _think_ the vivid colors are appropriate to render the subject properly (heck, end of the world should be vivid !). bad points : geometry is not perfect. good points for the other photo : geometry correctness is better. but the painting shows some white traces on the vertical middle line. --Stephanemartin (talk) 23:33, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose I know the place very well, and I tried to take pictures of each wooden board, but unsuccessfuly, due to the light. It is impossible for an amateur to take a decent shot of this marvel in "normal" conditions. That's why I'm really lenient. But I think this one, even restored, with better colors, is not good enough: the details are shown better in the other version. Sorry, only my opinion.--Jebulon (talk) 15:50, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Don't become disheartened Stephanemartin. Next time you'll win ;) Actually, at first I would support your version but why you didn't make a little bit perspective correction. --MrPanyGoff14:14, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Support this one. Not good, but better IMO. The details are better shown, then the scene is better depicted. But not sure for the colours. Only my choice, and I'm not happy...--Jebulon (talk) 16:11, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I took this image of the ÖBB 1016 Siemens EuroSprinter locomotive. However, I also found another image that is a good contester for VI on this scope. That's why I am opening the discussion with these two pictures as candidates. -- Murdockcrc (talk)
