- Info School of Yellowmouth barracudas (Sphyraena viridensis), Cape Palos, Spain. It's a predatory ray finned fish belonging to the family of the barracudas (Sphyraenidae), which is found in the warmer waters of the western Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea. It can grow to a length of 65 centimetres (26 in), although the average length is 35–40 centimetres (14–16 in). In summer they form schools (as depicted here) of up to 180 fish, although most schools number 30-40 fish, in areas where there are strong currents. No FPs so far of the whole order Istiophoriformes. c/u/n by Poco a poco (talk) 05:44, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
