Oppose. The nomination is not accurate. JJ Harrison did not upload this file, which is not his version of the photo.-- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:40, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Question OK, what's the rule? Do we consider this file to be created by JJ Harrison, by Ivar, or by both? I suppose on the same basis that edits have been done to works by people who were on Commons only during some year's Wiki Loves Monuments or whatever, it's legitimate to edit this work on the basis that Mr. Harrison hasn't been on Commons since December 27. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 08:56, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Comment author of this image is still JJ Harrison, I don't understand your objection. --Ivar (talk) 09:01, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Comment I asked a question. Do you mean to tell me you don't understand my question? Apparently you did, since you answered it. -- Ikan Kekek (talk) 09:06, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Comment of course it's legitimate to edit according to the license: CC BY: This license allows reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. --Ivar (talk) 09:12, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- (Edit conflict) A way that has been done before is to just add one more step to the 'Info' line. In this case it could say: "created by JJ Harrison - cropped, uploaded & nominated by Ivar". That way everything is clear. --Cart (talk) 09:14, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Comment With these two versions of the same photo in two different noms, we might now head towards a situation where both versions can be promoted and that's not allowed according to the rules. One of the photos should be an 'Alternative' to the other on the same nom. Could the nominators Ikan Kekek and Ivar sort this out. Or even better, both of you withdraw both noms and one of you create a new nom with the original and the crop for people to vote on properly. --Cart (talk) 09:33, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Cart other nomination is imo not valid, since nobody voted for last version and it was unwithrawn by force, against the will of original nominator. --Ivar (talk) 10:04, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- Well, regardless of who started what, when or why, the mess exists now and it needs to be sorted out so the voting can move forward. A new nom might be the easiest way for voters. --Cart (talk) 10:20, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
- I withdraw my nomination --Ivar (talk) 10:32, 2 July 2021 (UTC)
