Support These animals are very fascinating: after the breed was almost exterminated, only a few specimens were found for a rescue program in various zoos, with which new bison were released into the reserve after successful breeding in the early 1950s. The current population of about 1000 animals on the Polish and Belarusian side goes back to these last zoo animals. It is. Lukasz set a limit of about 50m (100m for females with calves) as we waded through the flooded meadow in our wellies with bushes shielding our approach. The bison cannot find enough to eat in the forest so come out to graze. Charlesjsharp (talk) 09:16, 9 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
