When I was a child, I used to spend my free time removing the ticks of goats, dogs, and various animals that were in the yard of my house. Some ticks that were too big or too attached to the skin exploded and it was common for the animal to end up bathed in blood. The surface of the tick has a particular greyish gray color, and they can remain alive for a long time hidden until a new animal comes close. Some ticks grow like clusters of fruit in numbers of hundreds impossible to kill.
