Consensual review edit

File:Kris_Meeke_1_Amarante_Rally_de_Portugal_2016.jpg edit

  • Nomination Rally of Portugal 2016. Section of "Amarante", on the first pass --Harpagornis 00:18, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •   Oppose Insufficient quality. --Tobias "ToMar" Maier 01:20, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Support Weak support. I could not say that it is insufficient. Please discuss. -- Spurzem 21:32, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Oppose The movement control is decent, but it could be focused better. The really big problem for me is the noise; ISO 1000 is way too high. --Peulle 12:44, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Oppose Good composition, but focus not on the car. @Peulle: For sport shots like this, ISO1000 might be absolutely necessary to get sufficiant short exposure time. If it is somewhat darker, you even need ISO3200 or more to get a sharp image without blur. -- Smial 13:47, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
    •   Comment These look more like jpeg/compression artifacts than noise (22 Mpix and 1,77 MB). Harpagornis, when saving from RAW, please export with jpeg quality above 90. --C messier 11:57, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
      •   Comment The ISO is low, as Messier says, compression is bad(now it is corrected), and I think the focus is not appropriate. --Harpagornis 15:29, 7 June 2016 (UTC)

File:MANNapoli 10019 Mosaic Lion Pompeii.jpg edit

  • Nomination Ancient roman mosaic of a lion (diam. 207cm), from Pompeii, NAMNaples, Italy.--Jebulon 09:39, 30 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  •   OpposeSorry, not enough light or sharpness for such a shot, IMO. The edges of the object in particular appear unsharp. --Peulle 21:05, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Support I disagree. Good enough for me. --Ermell 12:20, 5 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Support Sharp enough. You must consider that the environment is low light without tripod allowed. --C messier 12:54, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
    • Why not use a tripod? Against museum rules? --Peulle 15:30, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
    • I haven't been in that museum, but many of them prohibit it. --C messier 12:05, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
    • No tripod available, but no matter: no tripod allowed.--Jebulon 21:41, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

File:Caracas_building.jpg edit

  • Nomination Building in Caracas downtown, Venezuela --The Photographer 12:06, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  •   Support Good quality. --Ermell 12:34, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Oppose I disagree. Good photo, but lacking more precise description and/or geocoordinates. --Smial 13:09, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Support "Buildings in Caracas Downtown" seems enough for me. A geocoordinate would help, but it is not a mandatory (I agree: it should be. It is a mandatory in VIC page, for instance)--Jebulon 08:42, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Support Cool photo. Better description would be better, but this is a QI. --Basotxerri 20:06, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
Comment "Quality images shall have a meaningful file name, be properly categorized and have an accurate description on the file page in one or more languages." From the guidelines. Is e.g. "A tree in a wood" also considered an acceptable description? -- Smial 10:44, 8 June 2016 (UTC)

File:Dani_Sordo_2_Exponor_Rally_de_Portugal_2016.jpg edit

  • Nomination Dani Sordo in Service Park (Matosinhos - Exponor) --Harpagornis 23:26, 31 May 2016 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  •   Support Good quality. --Isiwal 11:47, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Oppose I disagree, distracting background, on the left and just behind his head. --Poco a poco 17:11, 3 June 2016 (UTC)
  •   Comment I think the arm to the left should be cropped out, but otherwise it's good. --Peulle 11:35, 4 June 2016 (UTC)
    •   Support Since that crop is now   Done I support this for QI. The arm on the left was a bit distracting and was not necessary to keep. The remaining background cannot be helped; the man is standing with other people around him, so what matters now is simply: is his face in focus? And yes, it is. QI. --Peulle 18:33, 6 June 2016 (UTC)
