Comment@Rodhullandemu: I think the location is important for this type of instrument, it creates a distinct staff. The decoration is typical of the artist Esther Mahlangu known for her contemporary, large-scale paintings in a geometric style referring to this Ndebele heritage. Comment@Ikan Kekek: While the instrument is portable although it is bulky. In addition, it can be played anywhere just like most musical instruments, but there remains a specific instrument for the music in South Africa and Zimbawe. Which explains why I offered it as a Valued image candidates. Best regards.--Pierre André (talk)22:13, 25 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Comment OK, I'm beginning to get it here. The musicians and the location together make this arguably valued. Fine. But the linked scope is not to either. There's a case to be made for creating a subcategory of both, Category:Musiciennes Ndebele, of which some could be Musical instruments made of horn, and that makes the scope defensible. That leaves whether the image of two standing musicians in portrait mode is more valuable than this nominated landscape mode, and I'll leave that with you to consider.
