Oppose Dry lifeless museum specimen, divorced from its natural context - nowhere remotely near as valuable as a photo of a live specimen in its native habitat . -- MPF (talk) 15:33, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Come, come, that's not what I'm saying! What I am saying is that more emphasis needs to be given to promoting Valued Image status for live specimens in their native habitat (almost none promoted), and less to museum specimens (hundreds promoted recently). - MPF (talk) 16:54, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Comment Indeed you are not a familiar VI. And above all you are not a good observer. It is said in the scope "Mounted specimen". This means that this image will be of value in this limited context. It is highly desirable images of butterfly living are also presented here in this concour. I encourage you to do so, having read the rules.--Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:02, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
