English: ... as it says in our catalogue, or graffiti as we'd call it! We were fairly happy this was somewhere near Rostrevor, Co. Down (and thanks to Tin of beans for confirming that), but found it irresistible either way for the relatively classy adornment, including really neat carving.
Someone (perhaps WC, LC, BC, MLC or FAC) has helpfully added XXIII Sept 1867, so we know this must have been taken between then and 1883...
