English: Comedian Shayma Tash, a San Diego, Calif., native, performs for the Marines and sailors aboard Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, Ariz., as part of the Leathernecks Comedy & Entertainment Tour, Thursday. Tash has been performing for servicemen and women since 1999 and was quick to show her appreciation to those in attendance. “I think it’s really important that our servicemen and women know that people in America think about them and appreciate what they do,” said Tash. “We’re thankful that they help keep the peace in places where it’s obviously needed. They make sacrifices, they don’t get to see their families, and it’s rough, you know.” |
