WHAT OUR CUSTOMERS SAY. IN CONNECTICUT. The -"mixture sent me proved success- ful beyond expectations. Hope you will send me the same seed this time. WM. SCHMITZ. IN MISSOURI. The meadow seeded with your ma- ture has found many admirers, and no doubt you will get more orders from this neighborhood. WM. JOGGERST. IN IOWA. Your grass mixtures have proven themselves far superior to Timothy. WM. HECHT. IN MINNESOTA. In' spite of the drought my pasture looks exceedingly well, thanks to your superb mixtures. W. KASTNBSR. IN MICHIGAN. The grass mixture nought of you last year has proven successful and I am more than pleased. PETER GROSS. IN PENNSYLVANIA. Your grass mixture is a perfect suc- cess, as we have never had such crops before. Orchard Grass and Silesian Red Clover have also proven to be what you recommend them to be. SEB. GREEN. IN WISCONSIN. The mixture No. 13 bought of you last year is giving perfect satisfaction. WM. ROEHL. IN OHIO. Grass seed is coming along nicely and encourages me to seed down another piece with your mixtures. CHARLES HORN^G. WILL LAST FROM 10 TO 15 YEARS AND LONGER WITHOUT RENEWAL. TRY THEM The importance to the farmer of a good selection and proper mixture of Grass and Clover Seeds for the various purposes of cultivation, for mowing, for soiling, for permanent pastures, etc., cannot be overestimated. We have had years of experience to guide us in our selecting suitable grasses for permanent pastures and meadows. We prepare special mixtures for different soils, selecting only such seeds in proper proportions as will insure the most satisfactory results, producing the heaviest possible crops of hay, far superior to seeding with Timothy and Clover alone, and producing far heavier crops. If your land is different from what is described on this and on the following pages and you should want a Special Mixture, write us the composition of the soil, whether high or low land, sandy or loam, etc., and we will be pleased to suggest a Mixture to answer the purpose. Country Gentleman says: "Below the taller grasses was a thick mat of finer kinds, and the close, rich turf hid every par- ticle of soil." American Agricnltnrist says: "Such mixtures are far su- perior to Timothy, or 'Timothy and Clover,' or any one grass, cost- ing but little more, lasting much longer, and giving frequently more than double the yield." Farm and Home says: "The enormous yield of nearly four and one-half tons of good hay per acre should convince any- one that more hay and better pasture can be grown with mixtures than with Timothy and Clover alone, as under the very same con- ditions the latter yielded less than a ton and a half per acre." How the Farm Pays says: "Far in advance not only of Timothy, but of any other grass we have thus far in cultivation." I
