English: Horizontal wood engraving from The Illustrated London News, page 432, from May 1, 1858, showing a street scene of the Broadway in St. Louis. Shops line either side of the road and horses and covered wagons are parked in front of the shops, buildings fronted by covered sidewalks. Page also includes engraving of St. Louis Mercantile Library Hall.
