English: Brig. Gen. Bradley A. Becker, deputy commanding general – support for the 25th Infantry Division and United States Division – Center and a Sacramento, Calif., native, returns a salute from Spc. Anthony Amelia, a combat engineer with Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery Regiment, 2nd Advise and Assist Brigade, 1st Infantry Division, USD-C and a Lowell, Mich., native, during an awards ceremony June 12, 2011 at Joint Security Station Loyalty, Iraq. Amelia was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with Valor for his actions during a rocket-propelled grenade attack on his convoy where he displayed valor by entering a burning vehicle to rescue a fellow soldier. |
