Description
English: The central section from a copper-alloy composite torc of continental European type. The object is curved, tapers towards both ends and has a group of seven transverse ridges. At either end are tapering mortice holes for attachment to the neck ring. The two holes are c8-9mm long. At two points part of the surface has come away and exposes part of a hard powdery black deposit, of uncertain origin. The object has a mottled green patina and its surface is pitted.
