Title
0BE833 med key
Description
English: Medieval copper alloy key, 83mm long and 10mm in diameter. The key is badly corroded and incomplete with a greenish brown patina. The terminal would have been sub rectangular with four circular cut outs, now only the base of two can be seen. The shaft is hollow and has a bulge just beneath the terminal. The ward has two deep grooves running parallel to the shaft and these are indented at the outside edge, there is little left of the rest of the mechanism though.
