Description |
English: A Medieval Book Clasp circa 13th to 14th Century AD. The back plate is rectangular, then sub-rectangular with a hole in the middle leading to a smaller rectangular shape which bends over to form a loop and the front of the book clasp. The front has the same sillouette as the reverse. Sub circular section is raised to form a boss-like section. The large rectangular body then flares from the back plate. The front plate has two rivet holes and a lipped pattern base. |
